Due to space limitations I don’t use a regular tower PC. Pretty much have exclusively used laptops for the past 6 years. Every laptop always has issues with heat, small form factor and all. Used to having to manage heat with a combination of under-volting and multiplier manipulation for turbo with some degree of success. None of these are an option with an AMD based machine since they don’t currently support it with this chipset. Not that it matters much, been putting this notebook through its paces with BF2042 and total war titles that are known to really push CPUs as well as GPUs and have been pleasantly shocked. Cpu has yet to exceed 85C for any long amount of time, gaming at 75C. GPU is much the same, even with an over clock. It’s pricey but if you can afford it. Buy it

The product is great, but Dell's customer service and tech support has not changed in years (not good!). I am having a sound card driver issue and consider myself tech savvy enough to diagnose most issues. My headphones work when they are plugged in when the laptop boots. If the headphones are disconnected from the jack, they will not be recognized when plugged back in. I contacted customer service and tech support and they told me to update to the same driver I had already researched and done so on my own. When I sent them a long detailed email on how I have troubleshooted everything possible in the system sound settings and the device manager settings to no avail, they closed my case and have been silent to every correspondence ever since. I bought a top of the line laptop that functions perfectly otherwise. This has yet again shown me how terrible Dell's tech support is and the minimal effort they invest to diagnose and solve customers' problems. I am going to have to live with this issue until Realtek comes out with a new driver and the issue goes away. Pity.

The first pc I got came with dead vrams and was artifacting in every app and on the main screen of windows so I returned it, the second one has 4 dead pixels and is underperforming compared to a 130w 3070, (scores less in benchmarks and has less frames in game) so this one will be returned on Monday, I wanted to love this Pc so bad for the amazing build quality and look of the chassis, and this is not my first Alienware laptop, I’ve had 5 generations of them. I’ve always been satisfied with them, but this laptop has shown me that it’s time for a change..

Laptop runs too hot. It works fine when it does. After 8 months battery issues, hardware issues, random bsod. My 6 years old laptop runs smoother than this money grab. Zero star if I could. Stay away from Dell.

Buyer Beware: My Epic Fail Journey with the 'Powerhouse' Laptop! After 33 years of tech experience, I thought I'd seen it all... until this laptop entered my life. Brimming with power and fancy features, it promised much but delivered a rollercoaster of tech nightmares. Imagine this: in just one year, I've had 12 support calls and not one, but TWO tech home visits. And yet, the saga continues. During crunch times, it betrayed me. Picture critical videoconferences interrupted by the 'mystery' of frequent resets. Spoiler alert: it's an overheating issue! Dell's support? A lost cause. This laptop should have been a tech dream, not a market reality. Shelling out big bucks for a device that resets mid-sentence? No, thank you. I've learned my lesson: No more Alienware or Dell for me.

Excellent platform. A little pricey so if you can get a discount code it'll be worth every penny. I play destiny 2 and I think it runs it better than my xbox series x

I have been having some screen flickering issues which are concerning me

Pooped out on me after less than 3 months. Nothing but problems since i bought it. All i ran on it was world of warcraft, low-medium settings. Should have been easy to handle.

This laptop is in a sweet spot which gives you the most value for your money. Note this can run most modern games +60fps, some even +100 in 1400p

great laptop games go fast temperatures are very low get the 720 mouse and you are all set for fun quality of materials is great 365 hz screen is amazing

Battery life is good and graphics are good for the casual gamer.

As always Alienware brings you the best specs in a cool looking laptop. It’s smooth and handles multiple tasks without a hitch.

I needed a serious computing power laptop so I could run a graphics intensive program. This checked all the boxes. The only thing I don't like is the function key has to be pressed for the F keys by default. I needed a few of those keys and they were not working until I realized it wanted me to use it differently. Otherwise it was a good machine though. Kind of on the heavy side and I certainly would not want to tote this thing around, but it was in my backpack for 3 days and I was fine with it.

Solid quality laptop overall, it has a great build quality, and the performance in demanding tasks is great as well. I got mine on sale for almost $1000 flat which made it a better deal. Which all that, there are some downsides. It’s pretty hefty, weighing in at 10 pounds. The weight doesn’t bother me, but I know it could to many. It is also obscenely large. The listed size is 17inches, but be prepared to have a computer almost 18.5 inches large due to the rear cooling protrusion. I had to buy a new backpack because nothing I had could fit it. Lastly, poor battery life, but it’s just what you expect from a gaming laptop such as this. For daily use I have mine under locked severely to extend its life, but having the option to use the power is extremely useful. Overall, it’s a good laptop, but a little impractical for some. That being said, I’m happy with my decision.

Fast, stable. Runs games at optimal frame rates without overclocking. However, easy to overclock it you want.

The laptop is excellent and i am using it for both for my official work and for high end gaming. The build is good.

What a package. Dell knows how to put things together. This is a beast of a Gaming laptop. The Ryzen 9 coupled with the RTX 3070ti and 16gb of ram have this thing screaming. The Ryzen 9 can clock up to up to 4.90 GHz at Max Boost. The laptop is heavy weighing in at around 7.5 pounds but this isn't the type of laptop that you'll carry around all the time, I like to keep mine in a stationary place since its so heavy. Windows 11 home comes pre-installed and runs very good with all the power this gaming laptop is packing. I installed steam and downloaded Call of Duty and played some Warzone. First off the 360hz refresh rate on this screen is amazing. Makes playing Warzone and really any other game that supports high refresh rates really amazing. I was so impressed with the quality and colors of the 1080p screen that I fell in love gaming on this. The MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 holds a strong connection to my mesh wifi I have running through the house. I don't lose any connection at all. Very good. The speakers are very good for a laptop, they get plenty loud and sound great In my opinion. But I typically use my headphones for audio, especially when gaming. This comes with a 1tb m.2 ssd that reads and writes pretty darn fast. My games load quickly. Plenty of storage unless you are going to install more than about 3-4 games you'll want to add an additional m.2 drive or replace the current one. The fans on this laptop do ramp up while gaming and you can definitely hear them. But wearing my headphones I forget about them quickly. You can actually hear the fans which are pretty quiet while just browsing the web but its not annoying like it is when you're gaming. I love the Alienware command center. There you can customize all aspects of the lighting/LEDs, clock your GPU and create custom themes based on your games installed. Its really great. I can totally recommend this Gaming Laptop to you for your gaming needs. It Will handle it.
