Returned 3 laptops of the m18 in a row within 3 weeks. 1st was screen was bleeding 2nt time it overheated with a laptop fan not doing anything to overwhelm it. The final time the speakers stoped working and started shaking. I finaly gave up and switched to asus rog zepher series for the first time. I have always gone with alienware since 2013 when the gtx 1050-1080 series. I truely was sad to seitch to a different brand because of the stress and frustration this caused.

Awesome laptop top notch for gaming and all other uses.

Bought this laptop once and had to exchange it because it kept having that stupid blue screen. They wouldn't fix it and wanted me to pay hundred of dollars for their people to look at it so I ended up exchanging it and had to sit in the store and manually transfer all the stuff I already downloaded using a flash drive. The one I exchanged it for is having the same problem but less frequent. I am going to contact dell to see what can be done to fix it because I do like the computer and I doubt bestbuy will help me. I'm just super disappointed that I spent thousands of dollars on a defective laptop only to have to exchange it for another defective laptop. My only other complaint is how huge the charger is and that it doesn't hold a charge.

This rating reflects hardware and software issues about affecting the display. Additionally, I this review was with an "Open-Box" in excellent condition. Firstly, the on-line portal to place the order was easy and effective. I was able to track the laptop in the UPS trucks to an accuracy I didn't expect. I looked at the map, noticing the UPS truck was outside, and indeed they were. Great technology in terms of tracking packages, very accurate and am still impressed. Now about the computer itself -The adage may be true, when you buy used, you are buying other peoples problems. That very well could have been the case here. The display and rendering was not stable for a primer product costing cost to 3k out the door. I spent ample time researching this problem, and it appears a bit too often in the searches when I was troubleshooting. Many people reported problems with the display, and I happen to be another. Ultimately, a more convincing reviewer mentioned it was a faulty motherboard causing the problem, went through Dell multi times, and the problem persisted. These stories persuaded me to ultimately return the product instead of attempting to resolve the problem and purchase a NEW laptop instead. Bur I have to say, Best Buy offered a hell of a deal with close to 1000 off the open box, so it was worth a shot. When the machine was up and running, it would be easily about 3-4 stars. I am an avid MOBA player, and some here would scoff that MOBA requires such power. (And frankly you're right. With this new gaming machine, I was looking to start playing some shooters with friends) But when I did get DOTA 2 up and running,I never knew there were so many pixels available in the game. The game looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and it was even more immersive with the huge 18" display. If you are looking for a portable gaming station, these products seem to deliver on that promise. **As long as the hardware is stable** The LED backdrop, with its customizable RBG layout was sheer joy to customize. You can even preset certain light presets to certain games. If you want to "Stunt" on your gamer buddies, this extra pop goes a long way to generate attention. You will be noticed in the room with the LED mights going, and it's gonna be hard to persuade anyone who isn't a gamer that you aren't playing Fortnite on your lunch breaks.

Very good computer can play any game on it. Its super fast at loading and downloding games very good graphics.

Overall has been a very problematic laptop. Had to reinstall drivers multiple times. Chip on the motherboard that interfaces the keyboard failed. Took Dell 3 attempts to fix it. Most recently the motherboard died. I do not consider it worth fixing again. Great laptop when it works, but way too many things go wrong on it. Quality is just not there for the cost.

This ıs a great gaming laptop and ı am definitely happy with it especially with this great deal.Also,the who supported me on the store was very helpful and highly knowledgeable.

Great computer, but even after returning the first one the second has the same sound crackling issue.

Worst gaming laptop ever. Didn't work right from day one, and I should have returned it and run far, far away from Alienware. The list of issues I've had is silly...machine will not sleep, will not hibernate only turns off (despite power settings) and no matter how I described this, the support tech couldn't understand. The audio will spit out static every minute or so. The screen failed just after the warranty was up. 5/10 times at startup, the screen will go black, then come up with gibberish that rolls like an old time TV. Only solution is to hard reboot and try again. No amount of updates and testing has fixed it. Support wants me to mail it to them and they will quote a repair price. No thanks. When it works, I guess it works well...all games run, but to be honest all the trouble I've had has turned me off to PC gaming.

It was good, but the thing is not sure when I tried to turn it on. It having problem it keep flashing the RGB keyboards but the display was black even tho they are repairing but I just want to make sure how to avoid this.

I am very impressed with this laptop. It's fast and quiet and runs like a dream. The 18 inch screen is nice. Note that it is a bit on the heavy side, but that is not an issue for me. The one minor issue is there is no DVD/CD drive for those applications that install by CD/DVD.

The laptop is fantastic; I absolutely love it! I have no regrets buying it—great product.

This laptop does the job and so much more! All the components in this laptop leave nothing to chance! If you need a portable pc this one easily checks all the boxes for mid to moderate gaming!

First one came with a defective power input; wouldn't start. Second one ran extremely hot right out the gate without even running a game or program. The clerk said overheating was a common issue with this model. Exchanged it for an equally powerful desktop that was a little cheaper.

This is a kick Butt computer love it love it, and Best Buy was able to get it to my place in two days. Awesome.

I love my new gaming laptop. So far it's handled both games I play on the ultra high settings. And it seems sturdy (I haven't dropped it or anything), All in all, I'm glad I purchased it.
