Worst gaming laptop ever. Didn't work right from day one, and I should have returned it and run far, far away from Alienware. The list of issues I've had is silly...machine will not sleep, will not hibernate only turns off (despite power settings) and no matter how I described this, the support tech couldn't understand. The audio will spit out static every minute or so. The screen failed just after the warranty was up. 5/10 times at startup, the screen will go black, then come up with gibberish that rolls like an old time TV. Only solution is to hard reboot and try again. No amount of updates and testing has fixed it. Support wants me to mail it to them and they will quote a repair price. No thanks. When it works, I guess it works well...all games run, but to be honest all the trouble I've had has turned me off to PC gaming.

The laptop is fantastic; I absolutely love it! I have no regrets buying it—great product.

I love my new gaming laptop. So far it's handled both games I play on the ultra high settings. And it seems sturdy (I haven't dropped it or anything), All in all, I'm glad I purchased it.

This is a kick Butt computer love it love it, and Best Buy was able to get it to my place in two days. Awesome.

This product is absolutely terrible. Purchased this merely two weeks ago and it has given nothing but problmes the entire time. As I said approx two weeks old and Dell has been to my house already to replace the motherboard. Th ealien logo flashes red 3 times and blue 3 times while the screen refuses to work. This was yesterday. Today, the unit broke all over again. Same issue. For this much investment to not be able to use it for now 6 days out of approx two weeks is unacceptable.

First one came with a defective power input; wouldn't start. Second one ran extremely hot right out the gate without even running a game or program. The clerk said overheating was a common issue with this model. Exchanged it for an equally powerful desktop that was a little cheaper.

Great laptop if you need to run 3D Modeling softwares like DJI Terra. Super fast reconstruction speed.

The Alienware m18 FHD+ 480Hz Gaming Laptop is a beast of a gaming laptop and will easily handle just about anything you can throw at it. Build quality is excellent and everything feels very premium. You get loads of ports so the versatility of this PC is top tier when you compare to other laptops. Seems these days manufacturers are cutting out ports and leaving you with one USB-C port and calling it good. Certainly not here! The CPU and GPU work great together and when you add in the 32 GBs of RAM you are definitely set for top tier gaming. You will be able to play most games at high or ultra and still hit the 120fps mark. Diablo 4, Overwatch 2 and Remnant 2 are just a few of the games I have played so far and they're all great on this laptop. One thing to keep in mind is the amount of updates you will need to run. Setup will take an hour or 2 so try to be patient. You will most likely have to install several windows updates and at least 1 firmware update. Then after all that is finished I would run the Alienware update tool to find any other drivers that may need to be updated. It is time consuming, but it's best to get it done straight away so everything is working properly. Overall, if you are a gamer or just looking for a beast of a laptop, definitely consider picking this one up. With the nice big screen and stout hardware, you can't go wrong!

Right out of the box, I noticed its massive size and heavy weight which makes me not wish to carry it around for everyday use. The screen is larger than the average laptop and produces a high performance display of sharply tight pixilation with no bleeding of colors. The keyboard is comfortably spacious and on comparison with a desktop keyboard, allowing me to play for several hours. I can play FPS games more intensely and with better performance than on a general all purpose computer. The reaction times of commands are blazing fast. The Alienware m18 FHD+ 480Hz Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 - 1TB SSD - Windows 11 Pro - Dark Metallic Moon comes with a bunch of useful ports on both sides and also in the rear. There are multiple USB ports, Ethernet port, HDMI port, SD card slot, Thunderbolt ports, headphone jack, and a mini-DisplayPort. The minor problems I find are that the speakers do not sound top of the line, because they do not produce enough bass, but the Dolby Access app can be used to change the Dolby Atmos settings for a better listening experience. The battery strength fully charged lasted a few hours, before needing me to plug in the power bank. The fans can make enough noise to distract me from fully concentrating on my game so I must use my headphones to visualize myself more into my game. Besides those minor setbacks, with the powerful processing capabilities of the Alienware m18 FHD+ 480Hz Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 - 1TB SSD - Windows 11 Pro - Dark Metallic Moon, it is probably the best gaming laptop presently on the market for sale.

Good slick product, but long term usage is questionable

Its a good solid laptop, it works as advertised. The only complaint I might have is the power cord is loose enough it falls out if you bump it.

It's out performing my expectations, and they were pretty high to begin with. Only thing i would change is get it off of windows 11, it isn't stable yet lol. Honestly though I'm very pleased with it

If i can rate 0 i would. i bought one on 12/16/23 as previous gaming laptop needed some repairs and as soon as i got home and did all the update, the left part of the screen started flickering. I thought at first it was my game setting on MW3. So i turned all the settings down and then it went away. so the next day 12/17/23 i went to geek squad and have them upgrade my RAM all the way up to 64gb and add another stick 1TB of memory. but as soon as i got back home it started flickering again so i have no choice but to go back to geek squad and have them check it. 12/18/2023 i took it back and they notice there is a little pinch on the top left screen, so they replace the whole unit with a brand new one and install all my upgraded parts into it. as soon i got home i updated all the drivers even run the Alienware command center to where my bios was updated. So, i started playing and everything was fine until i had to shut down it and started flickering again. now this time i did my research on why is this keep happening and i seen online that one guy had the same problem and all he had to do was to turn off the G-Sync. which i did but the problem still persisted. 12/20/23 now i have no other choice but to go back to geek squad AGAIN. but this time i am not falling for it. I decided to go with razer blade 18" I9 GTX4090. I just hope that this one doesn't give me anymore problem.

Very fast, purchase price was pretty good. 480 hz on a laptop very powerful! Battery life isnt that great but what do you expect from one of the most powerful gaming laptops.

My husband uses this for work. He's had this for a month and on the 3rd week he was already complaining on how faulty it was. The screen keeps flickering and it restarts byitself at times. Currently working on an exchange or return. I looked at the reviews and I can relate to the bad ones. Only reason he needed this is because it's the only one that runs to par with his works system i9.

I like the machine, it's got pretty much everything you need, however I have had nothing buy problems with my sound popping and crackling when mostly watching youtube videos, I have been on tech support many times for this and Dell cant fix it and wont re[lace the machine so I guess I'm stuck with it like this!! I have looked online and there are a LOT of other people with this problem so i know its not just mine, so if you do decide to buy one play lots of yoyutube video's for a while and make sure yours isn't doing quick so yo can take it back to best buy!! Good luck!

Love this laptop, clean and very nice gameplay. I can run play world on it :)
