First, I'm a gamer. I play about an hour or two daily, when not working or handling husband/father responsibilities. I have several gaming headsets that I rotate as the die or my son is using while he's playing. Comfort It feels compact but sturdy. There are some exposed wires, but they do not effect the functionality of the headset. The headset is very comfortable with wide ear pads that have plenty of cushion. The headset is definitely lighter than a few of my others. It is very comfortable to wear. I usually have a pinching or some type of discomfort after wearing for an extended period of time, but I haven't had that yet. The mic is easy to maneuver. Functional The headset has controls on both the right and left ear pads. The ON switch and the Bluetooth connection is on the left and the ANC, Volume, and Mic Mute is on the left. When you click the mute button the end of the mic just before the receiver glows red. It would probably annoy some people, but it does let people in the room know when you are unmuted. I had no problems connecting to my PS5 once the headphones were charges. The ANC (active noise cancellation) does a pretty good job, but there is one issue with it. The issue is there is an active humming sound, when nothing is coming through the game…its not bad but it is there. The ANC transparency mode is nice too. It lets the game play but you can still hear what is going on around you…ie…wife can’t talk crap about you dying behind your back. My biggest complain with the headset is that the volume button doesn’t work with the PS5. Or at least not mine. I saw the complain in other reviews and on the Dell site after I couldn’t get it to work. Pros • Great sound (input and output) • Comfortable Ear pads • ANC works (transparency mode is a nice touch) • Long battery life Cons • Volume button/Wheel doesn’t seem to work with PS5 Aside from the volume controls, I have no real complaints. Great sound and comfort!

With so many options in the market for gaming headsets, it's always hard choosing the right one. Recently, my old Logitech headsets died on me and I needed to get a replacement ASAP. My old Logitech headset was comfortable and provided crisp clear sound and communication. So, I wanted something comparable, and at a decent price point. Last week, I got my hands on the Alienware Pro Wireles Gaming Headset. One thing that is immediately noticeable is the overall quality of the headset. The headset is not too bulky, is lightweight, and feels good around my head. For connectivity, they do include adapters, so you are able to use these on much more than just your gaming console. The sound quality on the Alienware - Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is incredible. The large earmuffs/pads do a great job at blocking out background noise, yet feel incredibly soft around my ears. Unlike other gaming headsets in the market that feel tight around my head, these provide just the right amount of pressure that allow me to continously play for long periods of time. Another big plus is the battery life. It's been about three days since I fully charged them and the battery is still going strong. Bluetooth distance is also great. I would highly recommend the Alienware - Pro Wireless Gaming Headset to anyone.

I love the world we’re in with gaming audio almost having an arms race to out clarify and outperform the battery life of the last headset that came out. I’ve owned some pretty incredible headsets that ranged from bare bones to all the bells and whistles and all along the in between spectrum. I believe that the Alienware Pro headset is all that you NEED without the razzle dazzle of some other company’s headsets. In the box is the headset, a USB-C dongle, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, a USB-A cable, a detachable mic and shield, and some paperwork including a Alienware sticker. What you need and a sticker…that’s it! The package itself is nice too, its a slip case and very slick but not flashy or unnecessarily complex. The headset itself feels compact but very comfortable, the cushions are memory foam with a soft leatherette coating outside (this seems to be pretty standard but mentioning it in case it matters). The headband isn’t as “springy” as some I’ve used but the cups slide up and down to adjust and I didn’t feel like I wasn’t getting it to sit right on my head and it didn’t feel tight. I was able to easily pair the headset with both my laptop and my TV to get my game audio but you can also use the included dongles to connect to anything that doesn’t take the bluetooth connection. Once I had it connected and adjusted to my head I was impressed with how loud and clear they are. I’m not an audiophile by any means but the sound at times felt like it was mimicking surround sound (audio on one side feeling like it was from behind). There box says the sound is from 50mm graphene coated drivers, which I’ll take their word for and that its a good thing but there are zero complaints about the sound being delivered through this fairly compact headset. With the detachable mic you can get good sound in and out with noise cancellation, the box says it uses “two mic AI noise cancellation” and the friends I used to talk with couldn’t hear all the noise I was apologizing for on my end (kids and conversations aren’t compatible without apologizing). I’m not a big online gamer but I could see this working great for Zoom meetings or the like as it seems to be excellent microphone quality. I mentioned the headset is compact but that doesn’t mean there’s not an abundance of features built right into it. Obviously power on and off as well as a switch to connect via bluetooth or 2.4gHz, a mic on/off button, three ANC modes (Active Noise Cancellation: on, off, or passthrough so you can hear your surroundings with it on both ears), and the all important volume knob so you don’t bust your eardrums. You can customize your audio experience with Alienware Command Center too. Lastly, these advertise running for over 70 hours per charge and offering a quick charge where you get 8 hours from 15 minutes plugged in charging! I haven’t used them for 70 hours but I’ve used them for over 30 this past week and haven’t gotten any indication they’re low on battery at all. As a whole these are comfortable, well performing, and long lasting headphones which pair easily with your computer, gaming system, or TV through bluetooth or 2.4gHz connections. They aren’t the most flashy headset on the market, no LEDs or unnecessary bells and whistles, but they’re going to out perform whatever you have on your head now and its going to do that for longer than you should be able to stay awake without a break. These are EXCELLENT headphones and you’d be a fool not to check em out if you’re in the market for quality headphones no matter how you plan to use them.

To briefly sum up my thoughts…this is a good headset, more or less across the board, and I think just about everyone would be happy with them, but there is no real defining feature. Not really a negative, but just something to note. Everything you would expect is there, the headset itself, a mic (which thankfully is detachable), a USB-C dongle, as well as A-C adapters and cables. All quality and feel good. The build seems solid, and I think they should last over time. My only concern would be the leather-like material covering a fair amount. It should be fine, I think, and to be honest, it is much like many other cans out there. As for the looks? Simple. Plain. Clean. Lots of matte black. I suppose some, or many, may want something more “gamery,” but this look is perfect for me. Setup was easy for me, and I did not run into any issues. Mostly a plug and play experience, some software adds, and a little fine tuning. I also appreciate having a couple of ways to connect them, as well as them being so cross platform. In use, I really liked them. I found them to be quite comfortable, the cups fit my ears well, and the materials choices were solid. They do get a little warm after using them for a while, but that is just kind of normal and could be a me thing. I didn’t mention it above, but I also liked their use of buttons. Fairy tactile, and I got used to their placement and feel very quickly. As for sound, I generally liked everything here. I think they do deliver very good sound. Clear. Clean. With some punch. I also feel they “largely” delivered on the ANC. They do provide a nice seal, which is important here, and in most cases did a nice job of isolating me from the outside world. It just is not the best, so keep your expectations in line. Lastly, battery life has been outstanding so far. Frankly, I am quite surprised. I will have to see how this holds up over time, but I don’t think this will be an issue going forward. Ultimately, as I said above, I think this is a good headset, and I am very pleased with them. Just solid across the board. It would be nice if they folded for travel, not really a dig, but just something I would like. Beyond that though, the build is good, I like the look, they’re comfortable, and they sound quite good. Perhaps nothing to wow you, but I do think the value is there.

Been using Astro's for a minute and they're pretty good headsets. However, after using these Alienware ones, thinking I may have to switch up and start using these for my gaming sessions. Really liked the sound from my Astro A40s however the earpads that come with them aren't that great at blocking outside noise. They're those fabric type pads so quite a bit of sound can seep through while playing. Thinking of having some noise cancelling headsets would be great but haven't really seen ones that fit the bill. These Alienware seem to pick up where the Astro left off and in great style. The fit is quite nice on these headsets. I have a big head and these fit quite well without pinching my ears or noggin. Used them for a few hours and didn't have any issues with discomfort. The sound is quite nice. The 50mm drivers deliver great audio quality and sounds come in pretty nicely. The sound is enhanced by the active noise cancellation. This is a huge upgrade for me as now I game in my own little audio world without outside noises distracting me. Much like some of your higher end music headsets, these deliver very good noise cancellation which allows you to hear everything better in game without the need of jacking up the volume. Connectivity is great as you have several different ways to connect the headset to your PC/console. The buttons on the headset are laid out quite intuitively which is nice so everything you need to push or adjust is right where you'd expect it to be. The white color is nice too in that it matches my Alienware laptop. Great little headset for gaming.

The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is a good option for gamers looking for high-quality sound and reliable wireless performance. As we all know, headsets (regardless of price point) are not all created equal. As far as looks go, I think these are pretty sleek though maybe edging into a little bulky. But the comfort and overall design is there so I’m not too worried about that. I will say (and yes I know, this is me nitpicking) I don’t like the color names. Yes they play into the AW brand theme but really, I just want to know if they’re black or white. Sorry, done with that now. I found the audio quality to be crisp and immersive. I find some headsets to almost be intrusive to gaming, a pain to wear. That was not the case with the AW Pros. Overall gameplay was enhanced and my ears/head didn’t get tired over wearing them (at the longest point, I think I’ve used them for about 3 hours). Not the longest test but still a good indicator. I’ve of course used them more than that over different sessions and they felt good going on and wearing each time. Noise isolation is there although I’ve experienced better. Seriously impressive battery life too. Overall, I’d say these are a solid choice but some room here and there for improvement. Everything is good but I wouldn’t say anything REALLY stood out either.

I was very excited to get these headphones because they looked cool and paired well with my Alienware aesthetic and now that I have them, the setup feels complete haha. Anyway, there are so many things to like about this headset. First, the sound quality is top tier. Everything sounds clear and fluid. I'm more of a casual gamer and this headset pairs perfectly with my Switch and PC. The mic does a great job of canceling out unwanted noise and focusing only on your voice. The mic does make your voice sound a little funky but it's nothing major or distracting. The build is really nice. It's almost completely covered in a soft leatherette material and it feels sturdy. I feel like headphones will last quite a while. I did get the Lunar Light option so I'm not sure how well I'll be able to keep it clean. If you're a messy person or thinking about getting these for someone who is messy, I would consider the Dark Side of the Moon color. The mic being detachable is nice, and the fact that it has a second set of mics so you don't need the detachable mic if you don't want it is nice as well. It comes with a USB-C and regular USB dongle for convenience. The only thing is I wish the dongle and included charging cable were color matched for the Lunar Light headset. It's not a big deal but I definitely would have appreciated it. Overall, it's an amazing headset. I definitely recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Got these to give them a go as reviews seemed to pretty positive. They're very comfortable, even out of the box without any break-in. Usually most headphones need just some time to get adjusted, but these didn't. The headphones work great for gaming. I spent a few hours with them on the PS5 Pro with some Death Stranding and I was quite impressed. The headphones do a great job of encapsulating surround sound and you can certainly better pinpoint where the sounds are emanating from. Using them on PC does get you the benefit of Dolby Atmos which, if a game supports it, they sound terrific in. The Alienware software was easy enough to use. I do hate having to use multiple launchers/apps to use my devices but it's just the price you pay for being on PC. I did use the on my Steam Deck as well and they worked fantastic there with the few games I played on it like Final Fantasy XII and Generation Zero, the latter having an incredible ambiance with all the environmental sounds. For other kinds of use such as Music I didn't find them all that great. I had paired them to my S22 Ultra and listened to several different genres of music and they felt lifeless. They were very overly balanced to the highs. Mids and low were more or less non-existent. In more bass oriented tracks there was next to nothing. I don't use an EQ or anything on the phone. I didn't test them with watching any movies or TV but I imagine they would do fine. I just really felt that for music they're just not that good. I had hoped there might have been some control app for Android but there was not. The only thing I could find was Dell's app but it does not support this headset. I find it a bit ironic that Dell doesn't make an app for Android at least that allows you to fine tune your headset depending on what you're doing. The mic works great, had no complaints of it cutting out or sounding poor. I tested it out on my Work PC with making calls through Webex and Teams and it worked great. The only problem I had was that since I sit in a queue all day waiting for calls to come in, sometimes this could be hours between calls, but after about 10 or 15 minutes the headset powered off into what I can only assume was a sleep mode. Since I'm limited with what I can install on my Work computer I wasn't able to put the Alienware application on it so I couldn't make any software sided changes. Something I did run into with them was the wireless dongle. Since I have a PS5 Pro, I was using the front USB-C ports to plug the headset into. The PS5 saw it and it was set as the output device, but there was nothing coming through the headphones. I thought it might have been set to Bluetooth but it was in fact on the 2.4Ghz channel. I took the dongle out of the PS5, plugged it into the Type-C to Type-A adapter and then I started to get sound. This is a little disappointing and I fear it will result in compatibility issues down the road should a console device only have USB-C ports. It did however work fine with just the Type-C on my PC's. Overall it's a good headset. A Few things could be improved such as adding a native Android app, support for USB-C only on Consoles, as well as improvements to the mid and low ranges because without that, everything just sounds and feels lifeless and lacks depth. For the Price, I don't know if I would say they're worth it as the market is incredibly saturated and there's lots of options at every price point and I've used headphones/headsets from other brands that cost a fraction of the price that had exceptional audio quality and excelled at everything.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks for work meetings at my computer more than gaming recently, and I’ve been very happy with it! It’s very comfortable to wear and the ear cushion has been a huge plus for those meetings that go on way longer than they should. One feature that I didn’t know I’d really like has been the detachable microphone. I thought it might be an inconvenience, but I actually like that I can take it off when not in use! I find myself leaving headphones on and just removing the microphone after a meeting concludes because they’re so comfortable. I keep the noise canceling feature on and can stay focused and keep my work pace up without any distractions! The microphone has worked perfectly and everyone hears me loud and clear when I am speaking in meetings. I haven’t been asked to repeat myself or speak up and I’ve been speaking very naturally, so that’s a big improvement over my last headset already! The microphone also has an indicator light so you can see if you’re muted (red light) or not, very quickly and easily. The controls and volume have been very simple to use and quick for me to get used to. I haven’t pressed the wrong button yet!

I am a big fan of Alienware products so I was excited to try out the new Pro Wireless Gaming Headset. Unboxing was simple and everything was well packaged. It includes a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging along with the dongle for connectivity (and an alien sticker). I let the headset charge up before attempting to connect it to my Alienware laptop. If you have a different brand, you'll need to download some software that comes standard with AW, so that saved me a step. Once connected via the USB cord, it walked me through a firmware update and setup process and paired the headset to the dongle. Build quality is fantastic. These are very lightweight and although the material used for the earcups is known for being uncomfortable over time, I had none of those issues when wearing these for hours. No sweat, no stickiness, etc. These are very comfortable for extended wear. Sound quality is good, along with the ANC, but it's not best in class. Although at this price point, it's excellent and will satisfy most. I did notice on some games that there was a faint buzzing or humming in the background, but I couldn't pinpoint the source. It was slightly annoying during any quiet moments of the games but not a deal killer considering how few of those there are. Connectivity with PS5 is mixed. Plugging the dongle into the USB C port on the front paired almost instantly and the settings updated to make the headset the default for audio and microphone. However, none of the controls on the headset work to control volume or mic on/off functions. You will need to go into settings and adjust the volume manually anytime you need to make a change, which is frustrating. The microphone on the headset can stay in the on position, and you can toggle mute from the PS5 controller button. Not ideal, but way better than the volume situation. I've seen this with other brands as well where the volume rocker doesn't work with PS5. These manufacturers need to get with Sony and fix this issue, otherwise stop marketing these headsets as "for PS5" because, while they will work with PS5, they really aren't for PS5 as they lack basic functionality. Overall, this is a good, quality gaming headset, just be aware of the limitations on console gaming going in. If you game on a computer, these are a non-issue. I recommend these, especially to PC gamers, and to console gamers who don't mind the volume issue.

Unboxing was straightforward. Included were the headset and mic, a USB-A/C along with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable. I like the minimal packaging, but at this price point, there could be a bag included to carry the accessories and headphones. Setup was simple when connecting to my Nintendo Switch. I plugged in the USB-A dongle, and it paired immediately. Playing Mario Kart and Fortnite, I found the gameplay full and clear. I enabled the ANC, so I was able to play and still hear my surroundings in transparency mode. I did not like how the headphones would go to sleep and require me to turn them off and then on to reconnect. I am not sure why, but when you put them back on your head, they should wake up, but these did not. I found the controls comfortable once I learned by memory where they are. These are pretty comfortable, and there is plenty of padding on the earphones and headband. The style is really lacking, being that they are Alienware. I figured a more prominent light-up logo would have been more premium, and the mic has a foam end which feels cheap. I was not able to flip the mic up to mute it, which was a disappointment. As far as on PC, there were the same benefits and shortcomings. I did install the Alienware Command Center, which was not mentioned anywhere in the documentation. I learned about it from looking online. Unfortunately, it only allowed me to mess with Dolby Atmos profiles but nothing regarding the settings of the headphones. In summary, I like the overall sound and versatility since these work on all the major platforms. I just think they are okay, and there was nothing revolutionary that made them stand out from the competition. The lack of wake from sleep was kind of annoying. However, due to the 50mm drivers, these definitely can hold up to all of the high and low sounds with clarity, which is actually the main point of them. So, for function, they are 5/5.

[PROS] Superb Comfort: For long periods of listening, the Alienware Pro is top tier. After 3+ hours of continuous use, the fit still remained fine and comfy. Strong Battery Life/Fast Charging: This headset is rated for 75 hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't thoroughly test this claim, but I did maintain well above 60% after a dozen hours of usage. Fortunately, this thing does charge very quick which is not a feature most headsets have. Multiple Connections: I've ran into issues using multiple USB A dongles at the same time. It's nice to know that this device is able to give me the ability to use USB C or Bluetooth for additional connectivity. Awesome ANC: I'm very satisfied in the way this headphone filters out environmental noise. Teammates can hear me well without the outside distractions. Well Rounded Audio: From bass to the treble, the Alienware Pro hits the mark for me. Audio elements are distinct and the sound is clear. I tinkered with the EQ a bit, but only made minor tweaks. [CONS] Subpar Microphone: Although ANC is great, the mic quality falls short. For a premium headset, I would've desired for more clarity in the projection of my voice. It's not the worst, but it does sound robotic. Xbox Exclusion: It's not necessary, but I would have loved for this headset to have been compatible with all the major consoles and gaming platforms. No 3.5mm jack: We live in a predominantly wireless world, and Alienware follows suit in its design. Similar to my feelings regarding the lack of Xbox compatibility, it would've been a nice to have for a pure wired connection, but its not needed. [CONCLUSION] The Alienware Pro is a nicely designed headset. It's comfortable and produces great sound quality. Unfortunately, the microphone does need some work, but its fine in most situations.
