It does with my phone, but not the Sport Clip MP3 player I purchased at the same time. In addition, I cannot adjust the volume. I even asked the Geek squad for help. The best they could come up with is it isn't compatible with the Sport Clip. Incidentally, this item and the Sport Clip are hanging on the same display and there is nothing saying they are not compatible!
