It wasn’t built as well as the first one I for one won’t buy another Altec product again Bose has such a better product

Already had to return and get a new one

These speakers have given me nothing but problems as I have the Super Life Jacket as well and have had to return it 3 different times due to malfunctions right out of the box. Just absolutely terrible.

It was horrible the second time as used it on battery life compared to what was advertised. It said around 50 hours of use and my daughter used it on the beach and it only lasted for 4 hours. Thats way far from 50 hours!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the altec boom jacket 1 but it stopped charging so I went to the geek squad and was able switch it out for the boom jacket 2 since they don't carry the 1st version anymore. Boom jacket 2 has a lower sound quality, they are not nearly as loud as the original.

We bought 3 for xmas gifts and everyone just loves them. Really great to use anywhere because it is built amazingly tough. Can't wait to try this out at the beach this summer or at the lake. No worries, water can't touch this! The only (2) things would be nice is a preset self turn-off timer (30m,60m,90m, etc...) and to state battery level when turning on device. It is always is a guess when using....is this going to die or is there enough juice to make it one more time. Really happy with this! Thanks Altec lansing
