A waste of money quality poor sounds poor and looks rugged

From day one it doesn’t charge correctly. Bad buy.

It’s lasted a lot of years! Been on a lot of camping trips and lots of submerged kayaking

I own many Bluetooth speakers. THE GOOD: - Water proof! (Supposedly). - Decent sound (not great). - "Everything proof." - Small enough to go places. - Great battery life! THE BAD: - Too expensive for what it is. (My biggest complaint). - Not loud enough for the amount of dough.(If I had not got this on a black Friday sale I would definitely return it). - Doesn't stay on so you can easily reconnect. Have to re-power it Everytime you disconnect for a few minutes. - The plugin for the power cord is in an awkward spot. I am afraid it is going to get damaged. - Not the new "C" micro USB charger. If you have started switching over your devices to the new style USB chargers, you will still need to keep an old one (hopelessly) lying around. - Has a very short range compared to other devices. Bottom line, this is a descent speaker, but for the same dough you can get a WAAY better speaker. In sound quality, it compares to the cheaper speakers I own. This is a 3 star product. I would NOT recommend this to a friend.

This speaker is great! It's extremely loud and has a crisp sound since it's a branch of JBL so you know it's of good quality. As of water proof my girlfriend spilled water all over it and it was if like water never landed on it. The speaker still works great but I have yet to put it fully in water. I highly recommend it for the beach since it is also sand proof. Overall great speaker

This is a lot of volume for such a small box. Love that it is everything proof. So far water is no problem. I bought 2. A little bit more than I wanted to spend but it is worth it.

We mounted this speaker to the back of our jet ski and it worked great for listening to the music while floating in the water. We plan to use it in our sand toys next.

Great power performance, audio quality improved significantly with an equalizer app. Unfortunately, after a year the speaker wouldn't charge.

Very good iBluetooth mini speaker to have outdoors

I don’t know why everyone over hypes this speaker saying it’s better than beats. The sound is quite flat and lacks good bass. When you turn the volume to max (barely loud enough to fill a quiet room as advertised) it starts to sound staticky. There’s also some connection issues here and there. This is the second speaker I’ve tried with Altec Lansing and it’s a second bad experience!

Was moderately impressed the first few months. Mainly used to speaker on bike rides or in the garage. Never tested everything proof claims or got it wet. GOOD: Battery lasts awhile, but no way to tell battery life. BAD: -Not terribly loud -Within a few months charging port / cord had to be propped in the right way to charge -6 months in it just started shutting off at 3/4, then 1/2 volume. Got a manufacturer replacement, new in box. At which point I would’ve considered a 3 Star review The new speaker was used two times and charged once before refusing to charge or turn on at all. Don’t even feel like going through the process again when I can go to Walmart and get similar “quality” for a 30-50$.

The sound is full of static, which only gets worse the higher you increase the volume. Not clear and absolutely not worth the price. Will be returned for a different brand

Speaker last forty days before severe bass distortion. Problems began with the product riding comfortably on the dash of a car. Sixty two days in and the product is trash. WOW guess reviews are not near as accurate as reality.

Had mine for 3 months (quality of sound...fair), but the reason I purchased is wanted to use near my hot tub and advertised as "waterproof". As expected, it did fall in a couple times and shortly after that it wouldn't take a charge. Sent it back for the "1 year warranty" coverage and was refused a replacement. Meaning I spent $150 for a piece of now meaningless garbage. Blame Altec; but Best Buy should do business with companies that stand behind their warranties. Onto Costco and others that back their products.

This is my second Boomjacket 2 and I can't believe that more people haven't had more bad experiences. Sound quality is mediocre and there is static that is very noticeable when at lower volumes. I tried using multiple sources, some bluetooth, some through the physical jack, no change in sound quality and static remained. Other features are nice although I haven't really had a good opportunity to test them out. Ultimately sound quality is the most important factor so I plan to return it and get something else.

Every time you power the unit on, it shouts the brand name at you. This "feature" was not apparent with the store display. If you use the 3.5mm jack, the Bluetooth LED flashes continuously during use. You can't use the unit as a pass-through charger. If you plug it into the wall, and plug a device into it, the speaker will not charge. The iPhone app isn't very good. It does not support Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC).

Died after three years. Plays for a few minutes and then turns off.
