The battery died 15 days out of warranty and Altec l Lancing wont honor the warranty so it's a 108.00 piece of garbage. I don't know of a better cheaper alternative that's water resistant.

If I was to rate the durability, waterproofing, and floatation then it would be 5 stars. However, the audio quality is way below your computer speakers. If you only care about durability then this speaker is for you!
