Had this and mounted with the mounting bracket that came with the speaker on the handle bars of my bike. Within 15min the speaker was bouncing across the road. The Camera mount in the bottom of the speaker is very weak. Will not take the road vibration and the brass insert where the camera mount screws into popped out. Would be great if the mounting to the speaker was made stronger. If not mounting for any outdoor use such as biking or kayaking this would be a great speaker. If your active stay away!!! Other than that it sounds great and I liked the siri control! I did return and am looking for a stronger case/mount!

Product seems to be solid and well made, seems like it could survive a hurricane but the sound quality is moderate. The speaker can get very loud and so far i've had it in direct hot sun and it's done fine. Just wish the audio was better. Also not so sure on the battery life so far it doesn't seem like it's as long as what they advertise so a little disappointed.

I can now listen to my favorite music while swimming, the device work in submerge water as expected, I am happy camper.

Good waterproof speaker. Wish it had a carabiner hook but it does have the mounting gear.

Bought a boomjacket, after 1 month the charging port became defective and the speaker would not take a charge. Exchanged for another boomjacket and despite me being careful, it's charging port also became defective. Since it is still under warranty I am returning the speaker for repair or exchange. The charging port on this speaker is fragile and breaks easily. Customer service is overseas and not very good. Customer service rep was supposed to email me the return directions, but never did. I had to call again to get instructions. Buyer beware.

The speaker has good sound. However, I use the speaker at my worksite, where I do not have access to Wifi. Occasionally I like to listen to the radio, which I play through my MP3 player so I am not using data. For that, i need to use the audio jack,. On my first unit, the audio jack stopped working after 2 months of use. I replaced the speaker with a new one, and the same thing happened. Also, even when the audio jack was working, the speaker turned itself off every 30 minutes if I was listening to the radio. Very disappointing for a product that is marketed as durable, especially at this price point.

Yep, basic functionality missing! You will always have to have your phone with you to skip a song. Ok if you're not near water. Planned to use this on the rear deck of my boat, swimming, and poolside, but since I have to have a waterproof case for my phone or something that keeps it dry and floating, this speaker is useless.

This speaker works well and is safe to use outdoors.

Right out of the box it does not work as advertised. Sounds decent (and I stress decent, not as good as the display model), but the second it hits the water sounds cuts away completely. Out of the water, if it's more than a foot away from the phone it loses the Bluetooth connection. I'll be exchanging it today to see if we might have just got a faulty one.

Very upset about my Life Jacket speaker. Just two weeks after purchasing the speaker it stopped working and won't charge or anything! When I went to warranty the speaker they said I had to pay the shipping fee and I needed a receipt which had gotten lost in my emails. Least helpful customer service department I've dealt with. I loved the speaker when I saw it at CES and loved it when it was working but the lack of customer service turns me off this brand and would not recommend dealing with them in the future.

the unit is a good sounding unit. It played for one year and a half b4 the battery died. I called up the MFR they told me too bad. I wouldn't even recommend this to anyone

Love the fact that it's weather proof, however, it is not the loudest speaker. I would get the UE Boom 2 instead of this speaker.
