My son played about 4 songs and the speakers started crackling and now it is shot. I am returning this speaker for my money back!

bought this as a gift for my son and just found out that its not working will try to return it . and maybe re-review this

Will return it today, the quality is not good for the price I paid. I could get a cheaper one for the sound quality of this speaker

Had speaker sitting on top of a box on counter. Vibrated off and fell 6 inches onto counter. No longer works.

I would not recommend this product it is poorly made and has terrible sound

This speaker kept running out of battery before the HRS it shows it will last you plus their no base

Had to return it. Didnt charge up or play overnight. No sound

Not worth the headache I had less than a week before it completely stopped working

It worked perfectly fine one week the next it wouldn't even power on or charge

Not really great sound quality, I would not recommend.

I received this a Christmas gift from my dad. First things first: It doesn't want to pair with my iPhone 8. My iPhone pairs fine with everything else except this. Secondly, the sound is hollow. It's almost echo-y and doesn't do well with base whatsoever. I plugged it in with aux cable, seeing as that's the only way I could get my phone to work with it, and it was just not a good experience. The sound grates on your ears--it's not smooth like my car's bluetooth or my bluetooth headphones. It's harsh and frustrating to listen to because the sound is inconsistent. If you listen to any other speaker: Beats, Bose etc. the sound isn't hollow and static. It's dynamic. The vocals aren't grating and the instrumentals compete evenly with the sound of everything else. With this speaker, you just don't get that and I'm wholly frustrated. I'll be returning (sorry dad) and going back to Bose. Bad mistake.

Have used speaker for nearly a year and for no reason no longer works. Purchased a second speaker for a family member who only started to use it 2 months ago. After a couple weeks he had the same problem. Speakers worked well when they worked. Highly recommend getting warranty.

I got this as a birthday present 4 months ago, it's worked really well! Loud, clear, and crisp sound. I've taken really good care of it, never left my house, never dropped it, and never spilled anything on it. But the problem is the charging, after one month of use I started noticing the battery was getting weaker and not lasting as long as it used to. It was getting weaker and took longer to charge fully. Now 4 months later it just turned off as if it ran out of batteries, I tried to put it on the charger and it wouldn't start charging and wouldn't turn on. So now, $100 have been used for only 4 months of use. Not the length I wanted. Very poor charging, will not last as long as you want.

I put this in my shower about 6 months ago and it has made showering awesome, being able to listen to whatever I'm in the mood! I turn it on and off as I shower and the battery last forever! Only charged it once in 6 months!!!

I had the speaker a little over a year. I purchased for Christmas last year. Right after the one year warranty mark the port to plug in the charger broke and can no longer charge the speaker. Nothing was done roughly with the speaker. I just noticed one day when I went to plug it in the port was pushed in. For $100.00 I expected more.

When I first opened it up I was surprised by how nice the packaging was. I connected the speaker to my phone using bluetooth and at first I thought that it sounded good and it got plenty loud. However, I began to notice a high pitched static or scratchy sounds while music was playing. I thought that it was my phone's fault, but when I hooked it up to a different phone the same problem was there. I then used the included AUX cable to see if that would fix it and it did. So this Bluetooth issue may just be bad luck so I will go in and exchange this for another one to see if the problem happens again. If it does, I'm going to get another brand speaker.

My wife got this as a cheap fix for a dead car radio. It works but would cut a second or two off the beginning of each track. She thought it was her phone and got a new one, same problem. Tried 2 other phones and a tablet and got the same result. It has the option to be hands free and talk on your phone. I don't recommend it, it sounds like talking to someone in a gravel mixer. Its sad because Altec is a company known for quality

Rugged and looks good but the sound is just not. Works great with the mount but you can barely hear.

I like the speaker except that it won't charge. The red light doesn't come on when plugged in.

BATTERY WILL NO LONGER CHARGE AFTER 5 CHARGES...I THEN CHECKED ONLINE AND THIS IS APPARENTLY A VERY COMMON ISSUE....IT WORKS GREAT FOR SEVERAL DAYS THEN NEVER WORKS AGAIN. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP CARRYING THIS ITEM THAT WILL JUST BECOME A PAPER WEIGHT.
