'House Party' Pairing had its issues

Overall very satisfied with speaker(s). The first Lifejacket (original design) I had performed outstanding. I used it for two or more years before accidentally breaking the piece that the charger cord plugs into on the back of the speaker that was totally my fault for doing. I decided it gave me a great opportunity to upgrade to the lifejacket 3 (which enabled further distance from the source it is connected to via bluetooth, longer battery life, and the ability to 'pair' with another (or more) lifejacket 3 and play them all at the same time). Awesome option. Probably the one thing I wished my original lifejacket version had been able to do. My only issue with the new Lifejacket 3 is that pairing function, referred to as 'House Party Pairing Mode' (and why I held back from 5 stars). The idea sounds very appealing, but due to the lack of clarity for the 'house party' description, it forced me to having to call tech support not once, but twice to figure out how to get them to pair appropriately. According to the literature, the point of the 'house party' function is it: 'allows you to connect an unlimited number of compatible speakers together for a bigger, more powerful sound'. My first attempts to pair them as a master and slave speaker was a total waste of time (even though I followed the directions exactly). For anyone having problems, you need to first verify you have two speakers that are capable of the ‘house party’ function in the first place as evidently not all are (you need to look closely at the top clear plastic part of the package just below the actual speaker level in the package and look for ‘house party multi-speaker pairing mode’). Secondly, you need to make sure you have ones that are able to pair with each other. My first two lifejacket 3’s I had to return because when I failed 1000 or more attempts to pair them, I broke down and called tech support. There, they helped me determine that I I did not have matching speakers capable of pairing in the first place. Check the model numbers on each speaker box to be certain you are purchasing two of the same speakers (if you want the house pairing option) by turning the package over and looking at the bottom of the package where it lists the model number on the top part of the bar code. Once I did manage to get two of the same speakers purchased and home, I followed the instructions to pair the ‘master’ speaker with my phone and did so with no issues. I also followed the instructions to try to do the master-slave pairing again for house mode to fail numerous times. Eventually, I did manage to get it done, but was not at all satisfied because even though they both played the same song, the slave speaker was ¼ second or so behind the master speaker, creating an ‘echo’ effect. Subsequent attempts yielded the same result. I also experimented with pairing the speakers to my laptop and then doing ‘house party’ function, but again had the same results….an echo. I decided to try support again and when explaining the situation, he had me attempt the pairing yet again. This time though, instead of following the instructions as they are explained on the sheet you receive with the product, he had me do a slightly different procedure as follows: Pair the first speaker to your phone/computer as you normally do. Start the music and make sure you hear it out of the master speaker. Once you do, turn on the slave speaker. Now, look under ‘my devices’ and if it is listed there (this is in addition to the first one that you have on, paired and playing music) you should choose to ‘forget the device’. As long as it is not listed under ‘my devices’, the speaker will have a blue flashing light once it is on which means it is searching for something to pair to. Now, put both speakers in close proximity of one another. With the master speaker on and playing music and the slave speaker on with a blue light flashing, push down on the ‘+ and –‘ buttons on both speakers at the same time for just a fraction of a second. The master speaker should have a green light now instead of a blue one, and the slave speaker should start flashing green and you should hear music out of both….without the echo.
