Bought this speaker thinking "well this could come in handy" well I was right. This has by far exceeded my expectations and it takes a beating too. Very rugged and dependable. Ran it over with my ATV by accident on a gravel road and it only had a tiny scratch on it and still works great!

I bought it to hang out on the beach or in the yard. It's very easy to use and has great sound. It is very durable and the battery lasts longer than I thought it would.

I dislike the fact that it shouts power on power off... You are now connected its very annoying and very loud it wakes up my kids it i am trying to listen to music in the living room..... After its on and connected ... The speaker is great

I work in Construction Most the time it's hard to be gentle with recent things because when in the work area objects are always moving around but this speaker has held up very well no issues at all sounds great also

I've taken my speaker to the pool, river and hiking with exceptional results! Excellent battery life, crisp sound and the perfect size for on the go people. Amazing!

What more could you ask for--waterproof, floats in the pool and sounds great. Connects easily to my iPhone and the battery lasts for about 8 hours on a full charge.

First, this device was my first portable bluetooth speaker. The first few days were great, very clear, very loud, no bass washouts. Quality sound. After the initial period, it was having intermittent voulume drops and bass fading in and out. Also at some points it seemed to go from stereo to mono like it was losing half of the sound. I never tested its waterproofing, it was never wet from the time of purchase to return. It never dropped so i had no say on its shock absorbing ability either. I returned it immediately.

We bought this speaker to use near our hot tub because the sales associate at the local store said it would float on top of the water. We found it does float, but the sound is underwater, with only the top of the speakers above water. We placed it on top of a frisbee to make it float above the water and love it! It has been exposed to water many times and is indeed waterproof. The pairing with my iPhone which sits outside the tub works flawlessly. We have never run out of battery life, but do plug it back in after each use. It also works well for listening to t.v. shows from my iPad.

Sound is pretty good for its size. Water resistance and durable rubber covering are a plus. Overall good value when on sale.

This is a great little speaker, and is the only one in its class that I found to be water-proof, sand proof, and so darn durable. It also floats I believe.

It's great! Works perfectly and the charge is more than enough. But the voice that says welcome to altec lansing and such can be a bit annoying, and creepy when it disconnects/connects and you forgot it was on.

Thing bumps and sounds awesome in the shower. The only gripe I have is when you turn it on connect Bluetooth and power off it announces it at full volume regardless of how low the actual volume has been set

The Altec Lansing is great for having by the pool, but you can't really float it around the pool and listen to it. It does not float upright, so the sound is partially under the water. Also, be very careful with the micro usb connector on the back. Ours melted one night while charging. We do like the speaker though, so we replaced it. WE are just very careful about charging. Sound quality is great.

I love my new Altec Lansing speaker. Very happy with it. I've had other brands before and this one is by far the best

Bought this speaker on sale during Christmas and it has yet to disappoint. With a playful cat in the house it has taken some spills and shrugged them off with no trouble. My phone can be on the other side of the house and there is no signal loss.

I have been very pleased using this Bluetooth speaker. I use it all day at work 8-5 only to see it uses about 35-40% battery. And that's using it at 60-80% volume. I threw it in the pool to check its water resistance and though skeptical at first, it still works like a dream. Connection to phone is automatic after the first time. Like everyone else states, the darn lady's voice gets annoying. Other than that, it's all that you want from a small BT speaker.

a single charge last for a few weeks and it has very crisp and clear sound. WATERPROOF you can take it fishing, boating and not have to worry

Speaker sounds great, is lightweight, and Bluetooth works well. It's also waterproof which is nice if you want to be near the lake!

this is a awesome Bluetooth speaker - the sound is amazing and good quality. My 11 yr old loves it he takes with him on his four wheeler and when he is roping. When he is hanging out with his friends they are always listening to music

I bought this speaker as a gift for my husband. The mounting kit and waterproof speaker will be great to use riding his motorcycle. It is very easy to use, even a Grandpa could figure it out.
