Can't actually say I've used it myself, but it looked to be the sturdiest and most versatile for a young man entering the Marines. Looked like it could be attached to many things, wherever he may be stationed and not break from hard use.

The waterproof aspect initially drew me to this speaker as I was headed to the river. Unfortunately, the lack of outlets led me to endure a non-stop onslaught of bleeping-blooping for probably an hour and a half before the speaker died.... VERY ANNOYING. I get that a warning is necessary, but not an hour and a half before I'm in danger of the show being stopped - I mean come on! That's the entire length of the show man! The sound was muffled of course by the water but did fine on land. Overall, would probably not buy again.

I bought this speaker to use in the back of a restaurant so that we would be able to listen to music. Well the last one we had got food on it got dropped often and moved around a whole lot and it broke. Well the altec lansing I bought has been miraculous.

First one did not work at all Second one would only work intermittently Seemed to be a problem with charging and on off switch Returned and bought another brand

I would say this speaker is more for computer use and not for enjoyment or listening to loud music. The good part is that it is water proof

This speaker stopped working after only 3 weeks of use. I brought it back to get another but was informed by a best buy employee that she wasn't surprised that I had to return it. She had seen many of them come back. So I traded up to a Bose speaker.

Okay, this speaker is really awesome and I have to say that it's worth every penny. It sounds great, it's highly portable, and the fact that it's dust-proof, waterproof, and 100% buoyant really takes this speaker to the next level. However, the one gripe I have with this speaker is this: the "voice confirmation" when turning on the unit, pairing with devices, when a call comes in, and when powering down the speaker IS WAY TOO LOUD. I can be listening to music at a quiet volume, and the woman just SCREAMS the voice confirmation. I use this speaker at my office, and the high volume of her voice catches everyone off guard every time. I really wish I could turn the voice confirmation off or at least turn it down, as it really is louder than I ever have my music or anything else playing through the speaker. Why it's defaulted to be at full volume baffles me and is the sole mistake Altec Lansing made when designing this otherwise perfect portable speaker.

On line shopping is easy But some Items need to be seen touched & listened to .Best buy has good pricing & selection. helpfull staff & hopefully easy return when needed

Play for 3 minute shut down and was unable to turn it back on . But sound was good enough to have it out on the patio .

Sounds great, but the product failed after 30 days. if it was not defective, I would have probably given 5 stars.

A VERY BAD STORE EXPERIENCE. HAD MEETING WITH STORE MANAGER ABOUT EMPLOYES, AND After it was all over there were parts / cords missing (OPEN BOX).
