She expressed interest in this unit and we continued our shopping. I managed to get the speaker without her knowledge that same trip and did not have time to lookup reviews. Overall it is not bad, but I don't think the sound quality was worth the money I spent.

Use it in my shower and out in the garage when I'm working and it can take a beating. The only main gripe I have (and should have paid more attention to in reviews) is the annoying LOUD voice that comes on when you start it, pair it with bluetooth, and when you shut it down. I have to smother it in a pillow if I turn it on late at night because of how loud it is. I really wish they would have made the volume controllable for it but for the price (got it on sale) and sound it is pretty good.

The first Mini Life Jacket lasted a few months before the battery stopped taking a charge. Altec Lansing swapped our dead unit for a refurbished one. Well it's July of 2019. Three and a half years later. Same situation. Battery won't take a charge. Why can't they make these speakers with an option to plug into wall to save the life of the battery which historically have horrible life expectancy. The search is on.
