It plugs into to wall (no battery) and accesses photos automatically thru an SD card. I used an high quality SD card. Most photos came off an IPhone. The device stretched about half the Iphone photos in the horizontal direction so they look odd. Not sure why or how to fix it. What to say....

Does not handle portrait orientation-had to force some into that, but it works well without complicated controls. This is for an elderly friend with memory issues so the pictures are wonderful for conversation starters.
