I didn’t leave mine plugged in because I didn’t want it to continue to pull power but when vehicle not in use but there would be times i’d plug it in and it would just remain on the connection screen then just go back to my regular screen and touching carplay would do nothing

Maps and Music worked, but there was — no joke — a 3 second delay on phone calls to the point you couldn’t have a conversation. Returned the next day.
