    Basic but effective BT transmitter

I've been using this BT device for a few weeks now, and it's working pretty much as expected. It's compact and plugged directly into the headphone jack on my Sony GX800ES receiver (only needed a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter). The battery life seems a little inconsistent, and the indicator light is so teeny tiny that it's almost impossible to see, especially when it's alternating between blue and red indicators. Note: The two white marks on my device were added to make the on/off switch easier to see and use. The sound quality is very good, and it paired easily with my Bose QC 35II headphones. When watching a video, there is a VERY slight lag between the video image and the headphones. Not enough to be out of lip sync with the image(s), but enough to make it impossible to leave the surround-sound external speakers on without getting an echo effect. I'm usually using the headphones so that I don't disturb others, so that's not significant. If you're only using the transmitter for audio, this is immaterial. For the price, this is an excellent choice.

An Easy to Use Bluetooth Transmitter

It's exactly what I was looking for. I needed a way to broadcast Bluetooth from some older analog devices to a few of my wireless headphones and speakers. Does what it says on the box. I was hesitant, because I was unsure how it would pair with devices that require a pair code... I haven't had one device it didn't connect with. A little trial and error, just read the instructions! Haven't had a problem since. My only gripe I guess would be that it only comes with an rca jack to 3.5mm headphone port adapter. An optical to headphone would have been awesome, just so I could at least connect my LG TV to it to watch quietly at night. Oh well, it was cheap and available.

Sounds quality through my AirPods off my 52”Samsung tv is better than I thought, if you don’t want to wake anyone up and still watch movies or YouTube. You must look into picking one up at your local best best store.

Easy to use cost effective and reliable with a seamless connection. I've purchased headphone and TV Bluetooth sets and they were full of constant static. This have a better alternative because you can connect any Bluetooth headphones which makes it easy and more comfortable

    Poor Quality Sound

First off, boooo Best Buy! The transmitter arrived in a sealed padded shipping envelope that was in perfect condition, but when I opened it, the box inside containing the transmitter had clearly been opened BEFORE shipping it to me as it had a tear in it and the power cable was missing. I previously assumed that when I order something from Best Buy, that, unless stated otherwise, the item will be brand new. Apparently that isn’t necessarily true. Regarding the Aluratek transmitter, after scrounging up a cable to replace the missing one in order to charge it, I tested the transmitter with my LG TV. Pros: it paired easily with my JLAB GO AIR POP earbuds (which, by the way, sound fantastic when paired with my Apple iPod Nano or my iPhone Xs.). Also, the sound delay is only a tiny fraction of a second and is not noticeable at all unless you connect wired speakers at the same time. Cons: the sound quality produced by the Aluratek transmitter was terrible. It reminded me of listening to a pocket AM radio back in the ‘60s. People’s voices sounded very garbled like blown speakers. And lest you think maybe it was my earbuds or the TV output, I can assure you it was not. I checked my JLAB earbuds again with my Nano and once again they sounded incredible and highly recommend them. I then connected the same AUX output on my LG used to test the Aluratek to my wired Bose earbuds and they also sounded fantastic. Lastly, to make sure, I reconnected the Aluratek transmitter to the AUX output on the LG and paired it again with the JLAB buds. I became convinced; the Aluratek transmitter sucks. Yeah, they work in the sense that they transmit sound. If you care about the quality of that sound, stay away. Also, there’s no volume control so you need to pair the Aluratek with earbuds or headphones that include it. (The JLABs do.) BTW, to add insult to injury, apparently Best Buy no longer gives you 45 days to return an item. I missed the tiny 14 day window and now I’m stuck with this poor quality transmitter that I’ll never use. Rats!

Simple and easy to use. Just have to leave enough time for the items to sync up — don’t rush it! The price is just fine — I sure didn’t need more features.

VERY good product . Comes in clutch with my old ps3 that doesn’t support Bluetooth audio . Simply plug this in your TVs audio jack and BAM you have Bluetooth audio with any headset you want. Definitely worth it and I recommend it to anyone considering work arounds and what not

It got the job done. I used it to get the sound from a projector to a Bluetooth speaker. Sound quality is still dependent on the audio source. Connection was pretty easy.

Cheaper than the competition, this device works well. Simply plug in and it is ready to go. It has to be plugged in constantly while in use however. It works great so far.

This model Aluratek transmits 33'. It worked well in the bedroom where it was connected, and it transmitted into the bathroom next to the bedrm. Only when I "walked on down the hall" (song lyrics The End by The Doors) the signal cut out and stopped. It only intermittently transmitted into the living room-kitchen area.

Very Nice Device - Modernize Your Audio Equipment!

The Aluratek ABT05F Bluetooth Transmitter is a very inexpensive and effective way to upgrade your pre-Bluetooth equipment to today’s technology standards. It provides a reliable Bluetooth 5.0 transmission function to any audio output on any device. Here are the key features: • Aluratek Model ABT05F universal Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter • Bluetooth 5.0 transmission range up to 50 feet • Can connect to two devices simultaneously • Rechargeable internal lithium ion power source: 3 hours to fully charge with included micro USB connection cable • Device will transmit 10 to 12 hours continuously from a full charge • Automatic shutoff 5 minutes after disconnection • Remembers last two devices paired and automatically pairs with either when powered on • 3.5 mm (headphone) male-to-male connection cable included • Stereo RCA (left and right male)-to-female 3.5 mm connection cable included • Full easy to follow illustrated instructions • Very compact: 1.1 inch by 2.5 inches • One year warranty Simply attach the appropriate provided connector (RCA stereo plugs or 3.5 mm headphone jack) to the Aluratek transmitter, connect the other end to the device you want to use as a source and you have added Bluetooth 5.0 capability to that device! To pair it with Bluetooth speakers or headphones just enter pairing mode on that device, then press one button on the side of the Aluratek, watch for alternating red and blue flashing lights and wait until the light changes to blue. In a couple of seconds, Boom! – you are now paired! Connections were solid and provided a very clean data stream from all devices I tested. The 50 foot range claimed for Bluetooth 5.0 assumes essentially line-of-sight but you can safely expect that the device will work perfectly in most home situations, reliably covering multiple rooms. I cannot over-emphasize how easy the pairing process was – push the connection button and it just works! Once you have performed the connection process on a device/speaker combination it will remember that connection and automatically connect the next time you power it up. If you use more than one device and/or speaker it will also remember the second combination. Beyond two combinations you will have to use the connection button but again, that is a very simple process. The included instructions are very easy to follow (unlike many instructions included with products made in China!) and should answer any question you might have. Aluratek even includes tech support contacts by email and phone in the very unlikely event that you need assistance. The device is very compact and lightweight so it can be attached to any port on the source and just hang unobtrusively next to that source device without straining the wiring. It has a micro USB connection on one end (for charging the internal battery), a female 3.5 mm connection on the other end, an on/off switch and a connection button with LED indicator light. What can you do with it? Here are just a few suggestions that occurred to me: • Connect a non-Bluetooth stereo receiver to Bluetooth speakers • Upgrade the sound of compact HD TVs by linking to a Bluetooth speaker • Enable wireless Bluetooth headphone use for any TV • Bring your old non-Bluetooth iPod back to life by pairing it with a Bluetooth speaker or headphone • Link any audio device to your Bluetooth-enabled car stereo system • Add Bluetooth 5.0 capability to older laptops and PCs. I am delighted to give this great device my full and enthusiastic recommendation! Buy it (in fact, buy several!) and you will be very happy with its performance and the many uses you will find for it.
