You have to hold the on and off button till it bleeps red or blue to connect to your sound system.

great for audio, but not for audio/video use

Unfortunately no matter what I did, I had sound delay from the picture and the audio. It wasn't out of sync enough to bother my wife, but it was noticeable enough to bother me... so I returned it. I'm sure it works fine for pure audio... but when combining audio and video, the mild delay didn't work for me.
