Sketchy connection beyond 10’.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very poor range. Difficult time getting this product to work with AV receiver. Once I did the connection between iPad and device was spotty and if you go beyond 10’ expect to lose all connection. There are much better options available. I ended up returning and buying the Logitech BT receiver which is excellent and 1/2 the price.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really disappointed with the product. At this price point, I was expecting better overall performance and compatibility. Sadly, it functions at best as a mid to low tier transmitter, the receiver functionality wasn’t of use to me.

TX mode doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The instructions are awful. I got my Bluetooth headphones connected but the device wouldn't stream anything except static from my TV no matter what I tried. So I returned it the next day.

Doesn't really work for extending phone bluetooth
||Posted . He said that it should work, but I really don't notice a difference.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not work with the television and streaming services... planning to try with another TV. It wasn't difficult to set up, and it works with broadcast TV but did not play well with Hulu or Netflix.

Didn't work for us
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The transmitter only worked for a few days. Then the device would pair with speaker but there was no sound. Unfortunately we had to return and exchange for a different transmitter.

Hearing Double!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Aluratek - Bluetooth Wireless Audio Extender - Black is a Bluetooth extender built with two in mind. This Audio Extender provides two-way options for sending the audio signal so you are not limited to only receiving, but also transmitting if you so choose. As a bonus, you are able to share a listening experience with a friend with the option for two Bluetooth streams simultaneously. I found the setup simplified and the use to be basic. I wasn't sure if this would take a lot of manual reading or video browsing to set up, but within about 5 minutes I was streaming audio and the sound was crisp and clear! PROS - Two-way signal transmission makes this versatile and useful for a variety of needs. - Simple set up and ease of use. - Slimline so that the unit is not too obtrusive and can be tucked away out of sight. - Quality of audio signal and sound. - Two signal streams give two people independent audio options! CONS - I am not sure how practical this device is as most devices are Bluetooth or Wireless Audio capable already. The long-term usage seem limited to aging equipment, but great if you need a wireless audio option!

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed this so the TV volume didn’t need to be cranked up, but it didn’t work with the Apple Earbuds. We couldn’t lower the volume on the Earbuds.

Great Audio Transmitter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit works really well. I was able to connect a 3.5 mm audio cable to the headphone jack of my iPad and transmit an audio signal to my non-Bluetooth audio speakers. I was able to adjust the volume from the iPad, and I was also able to adjust the volume from the unit. I also was able to connect it to an older audio system and transmit a signal to my Bluetooth headphones. The unit has a 3.5 mm input/output and an Optical SPDIF input/output. With the Optical output, I tried connecting it to my older Apple TV. My older Apple TV does not support AirPods like the newer Apple TV 4K models. Since my older Apple TV has an Optical output, I connected it to the Optical input of this unit and paired my AirPods to this unit. I was able to listen to my older Apple TV using my AirPods, but the volume was really loud. I was not able to adjust the volume because the volume buttons on this unit only works in receiving mode only, and not in transmit mode. The Apple TV does not have a way to adjust the volume from the remote or unit, and there was no way to adjust the volume on the AirPods themselves. However, I was able to accomplish this using my new Powerbeats Pro since they have volume buttons on the earbuds. I was also able to use them on my other headphones which had volume buttons built into them. The range is pretty good. It’s about the same as any other Bluetooth device when you go from room to room. The audio began to break up when I went about 3 rooms away. Overall it’s a good unit with more features than my previous audio transmitter.

What are you waiting for?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know many cases in this day and time that pushing audio wirelessly would be considered a bad thing. In fact, we almost expect our devices to have this functionality built in, allowing seamless streaming of audio to various devices. There are cases where this functionality doesn’t exist, and that’s where Aluratek’s Universal Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter comes in. Having used an older model of this device in the past, I felt both comfortable and happy about this device before even opening it. The package is very unassuming and should be categorized as plain. Handling the device reveals decent build quality, giving a feeling of a sturdy device. It doesn’t have that premium feel, but it isn’t cheap either. Aluratek includes just about everything you need to get the device up and running. There are connectivity cables (3.5mm, RCA, and optical cables) and a USB cable for power and charging. Device setup is a simple, and I found it easy to connect Bluetooth devices – I do have experience in this area. This device performs phenomenally as a Bluetooth transmitter, putting out stereo sound to a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously. The signal is very strong with a decent level of penetration and distance. The stream quality is excellent. I experienced no sound loss or interference issues. One of the few issues I have is the inability to stream surround sound. You can connect an optical cable to the Aluratek, but it only transmits stereo. The device also works as a receiver, so you can use it to push sound to devices that don’t have wireless connectivity – older stereo units, powered speaker additions, etc. Whether receiving or transmitting, the Aluratek performs admirably, and with a built in battery, it lends to flexibility in specific use cases. Actually, the battery makes this device more travel friendly, in my opinion. I find such devices are wonderful in situations like watching TV in bed to keep from disturbing a partner, or isolating a specific sound when others are engaged in something completely different. Overall, I have to call this a can’t miss product. It’s one of those things that I feel nearly everyone should have available at their disposal. Some may use such a device more than others, but the ability to push any audio source to a Bluetooth stream in any direction is much more than a nice to have!

Doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought recently to connect my LG TV, without blue tooth to my Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones, that pair just fine with my Computer and my Apple I Phone. But, plugged this in, connected and sound comes out choppy, it goes in and out. For sure returning this, it also feels vary cheap just in the general feel of the product. Vary unhappy with this purchase, cannot recommend.

A simple solution to wireless audio
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was quick and simple under 5mins I had the Tv Audio coming out of my Bluetooth headset. You have 2 options to feed audio in you can either use optical cable or RCA jacks. I recommend the RCA jack option since the unit itself is not compatible with the Dolby Digital signal. Even if you set it to bypass the unit failed to send the Dolby Digital signal to my soundbar leaving me with no sound unless you change it to PCM on the tv itself. Pairing to my Bluetooth headset was very easy just set both to pair after a couple of seconds they will sync to each other. The only setting I changed on my Tv was set it to fixed audio so I can adjust the volume from the unit itself or headphones when using the RCA jacks. I was very impressed with the sound output it's loud and sounds good as a wired headset. Even with 2 Bluetooth headsets streaming, audio played back fine without being out of sync. I tried different sources like Blu-Ray player, YouTube, and Netflix and some PS4 gaming to test for audio lag it passed with flying colors. It also supports aptX codec so if you have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that support it the sound quality is going to be better. Overall i"m very satisfied with the product. I was impressed on well it performs streaming 2 headsets at the same time with no audio lag. The only con for me would the lack of Dolby Digital support. It's not a dealbreaker for me it's more of a minor inconvenience since I prefer to use optical cable when it's possible due to having better audio quality. I'm glad that finally, I can use my favorite pair of Bluetooth headphones for some late night viewing.
