    Too complicated to pair.

I have not been able to pair with any of my headsets from Skull Candy, to Bose, to Sony , to Beats. The head sets boot up, the transmitter picks up the signal and then shuts down. I am pushing the plus sign for 7 seconds and the first channel blue tooth to no avail. Just trying to pair for private listening to my Sony 60" LED HDTV.

Using this Bluetooth transmitter is like watching a movie dubbed over in a foreign language. It isn't just a little off, it's 3-4 words off! Save your money, this transmitter is a waste.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is the worst purchase I have ever made from Best Buy. It was a hassle to get it to work and finally after 1 month, it stopped working. Right after the return period is over. And this cheap piece of crap cost about $60. What a waste of my money.

I purchased this to stream break music in venues I perform at hoping it would work better than the cheaper ones. I was severely disappointed, it cuts in and out anything over 20 feet or anytime there isn’t a direct path to the source. The $10 ones do better.

Had it for 2 weeks when it started emitting a buzz like interference on the left headphone only- tried it with different headphones with the same result. Poor quality for the money spent.

I am elated to know that there is a device that gives dual functioning in transmitting and receiving Bluetooth signals! I was able to successfully connect 2 headphones for my friend and I to enjoy movies. I am super excited to employ this feature during Wimbledon, as I am a huge tennis fan, I sometimes miss day matches and I like to record and watch later, so this will be an added plus to employ. Sound came in crisp and clear as I did not experience any audio delays while watching movies. Additionally, I have an older PC that does not have Bluetooth capabilities; therefore, I am going to use this device for it. The package has all the needed items to get you started and the overall setup is user-friendly. The concept is easy as all one has to do is pair his or her desired device and from there connect Aluratek to the desired audio source. In my case, this has been a great device as it helps with my older as well as newer devices.

I bought these so we could use our Bose headphones with our TV since it didn’t have Bluetooth. Unfortunately we could not figure out how to set it up. I waited too long to take it back, so it was a waste of $50.

Aluratek's Universal Bluetooth Optical Audio Receiver and Transmitter is an all-in-one solution that enables the creation of wireless audio for your home entertainment system and transmits Bluetooth to your headphones and speakers. With Bluetooth 5, this device allows audio streaming up to 100 feet. The device supports AUX, RCA and Optical connections and is designed with both receiving and transmitting modes. It can also stream to two headphones at the same time! The dual modes of receiving and transmitting can be achieved with the flip of a switch. Rx (Receiving) is used to stream music wirelessly from Bluetooth enabled devices, and Tx (Transmitting) can be used to Bluetooth enable any audio output device that is not set up with Bluetooth. The transmitter can also act as a pass through for connections only. It supports AUX (3.5mm), RCA or Optical (SPDIF) connectivity. The transmitter paired easily with my headphones and with my soundbar. It incorporates the latest technology of Bluetooth 5 which allows for faster and consistent streaming. Bluetooth 5 is also reverse compatible with Bluetooth v4.0, v3.0, and v2.1. Bluetooth 5 works with all tablets, audio devices and smartphones that can transmit the Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) protocol. Included in the package was everything I needed to use the transmitter. The Universal Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter was packaged with a USB Power Cable, a 3.5 mm Cable, RCA-Y Cable, digital Optical Cable and a quick start guide. My headphones paired instantly and now offers HD wireless audio from my TV! The transmitter carries a 1-year warranty.

The non-existent instructions, in the package or on-line, are of absolutely no help! It is touted as a plug-and-play hookup but it isn't.
