great battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Aluratek is the only battery-operated item I've ever seen that gives a charge which lasts longer than it took to charge the battery. Charge it for about 45 minutes via a micro-usb cable (the same as most android phones), and the built-in battery lasts for hours. The Aluratek is about the size of a matchbook. It has a power button. Very sturdy. It has one drawback for me: the 3.5mm phone connector cable is permanently attached to the receiver, and is too short- about 4 inches long. If I could design it myself, I would put a 3.5mm jack into the side of the Aluratek, and I could use any length of 3.5mm cord I want. Plus, when the cord goes out on this unit (cords do that), the whole unit will need to be replaced.

A2DP Bluetooth receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this out of need because the Aluratek transmitter could not pair with my OEM infotainment system in my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. But that's another review. It works as advertised and the sound is even better than the 1/8" cord I was using to connect my rear seat DVD entertainment system. The on board FM interface with the RSE DVD was limited to just a few stations and I was tired of having to connect and disconnect the 1/8" audio cable to the auxilliary input in the dash. The receiver is easy to operate, pair and has good battery life and can operate while charging. I've used it outside of my car and streamed music from my phone to my DJ system for a quick backyard party when I didn't want to connect my MacBook and USB controller. Range is pretty good, too, but not 33 feet like they claim.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got this to plug into a stereo in the garage because my aux port in my phone stopped working. it works great, the only down side is that it has to be plugged in to a power supply or use the internal battery. the battery doesnt seem to last very long so I generally just keep it plugged in. small sacrifice for wireless music I guess. overall it's a pretty good device

Great and easy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, as simple as you think. Just connect to the AUX port, turn it on (even came pre-charged if you’re in a rush) and connect to your phone. Could be a little cheaper since there are many like this now, but it’s alright for what it is.

Great way to add bluetooth to a receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on impulse when I saw it on the end cap of an isle. I needed something like this to add bluetooth to an AVR that did not have bluetooth or airplay. It was easy to pair, the music quality sounds good, and I can be a good distance from the device and it maintains the connection.

Works Well with my Bose System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this in the effort to add Blue tooth capability to my older Bose surround sound. I previously was Airplaying my iPhone to the system through my Apple TV and out to the Bose system. Catch was I had to have the TV on. With the adapter I not stream the iTunes/iPhone direct to the Bose input and only need that powered on. It's a temporary solution but for the cost of a solution was pretty painless with the iStream.

Does the job nicely
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for my 2011 model year car, which does not have Bluetooth built in but does have a USB port and audio port next to each other. My only complaint is that pairing needs to be done every once in a while, as opposed to the seamless pairing that most built-in BT systems have. But for the price, it's not a bad substitute to get my car into the current technology.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its good for the price and I use it in sight when I dj and use as a side when someone has thier bluetooth phone to play a special request song pr iPod while I am queing up , its good in the car fory car doesn't have car equipt Bluetooth I like it for starters but willing to upgrade to a better one because the rage isn't more than 4 feet away and if isn't to near the device it stops and don't cover it with anything or it cannot connect ,

Great upgrade for old stereo system!

Good little receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is very good bluetooth receiver but the cord is cheaply made and flimsy separated not long after buying. We take very good care of our stuff and always make sure not to pull on the cord. Over all quality of thecreceiver is great no static no hesitations sound quality is great. Little on spendier side for this

neat little gadget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought I'd try this out for the car and turned out to be pretty cool not to have the aux wire! Pretty awesome not worrying about the wire getting caught on the shifter or hand brake. Battery life is pretty good and it doesn't take long to charge. Only works with music and audio. Doesn't work with phone calls at least not with my galaxy s5. A couple of my friends are now going to be buying one of these for wireless listening.

great alternative to confusing pairing BT radios
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On my bus radio, BT device-pairing is too hard. This is EASY!! When transporting groups, people want to listen to the music on their devices, not the ads and talk that take up so much of the airwaves on radio. This device makes it simple, especially when I am driving. They can also control volume by lowering the volume on their own devices instead of my having to constantly be distracted while driving. The pass-through signal (from to source to radio) has no noticeable distortion of the original signal. There are only a couple of cons to all the pros about this little gem: 1. A tad bit expensive, but worth the price. 2. Your radio has to have access to external device either mini stereo plug or USB.

Aluratek - iStream brings old electronics to life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use and link up with my phone which is hooked up to Amazon Music. I bought the first one over a year ago and I hooked it to my very old (45 yrs old) but very good Sansui 881 Receiver (which I bought when I was in the Navy from the Naval Base PX in the Philippines while on a Naval Cruise in the Pacific in 1976). It is wonderful to have the blue tooth capability with such an old, but excellent piece of electronics. That receiver drives 3 pairs of speakers which fills my home with music. I bought a second one to hook up to the sound system in my home dry sauna. Again, I can listen to Amazon Music very easily with this set up.
