Perfect addition to an older receiver!

I purchased this to add to my in-dash double DIN DVD receiver. My receiver has everything else BUT Bluetooth connectivity so I purchased this, plugged the 3.5mm jack into my AUX port, plugged the charging cable into the USB port on the back (that is normally used to play music from a flash drive) and after I turned the unit on and it paired, I haven't had to do anything else. Every time I get in my car, my phone automatically connects again and I can listen to my music or audio books. This is much more convenient than plugging in a headphone jack with a cable, especially since most phones do not have a 3.5mm headphone jack anymore. My Pixel 3a XL has one, but the cable I was using started losing connection on the left side so I decided to go the Bluetooth route. Glad I did.

Great Inexpensive Bluetooth For My Car Stereo

Super small, good sound. It connected to my iPhone 5 with no hassels whatsoever. I can't really tell a difference in sound between this and my aux cord I used. Also, you can use it while it's on charge, if you have it on and then plug the charger in it may shut off, just push the button to turn it back on and it's good to go. Only bad things I think are the fact it doesnt charge by a standard micro or mini usb cable, but by it's own round one, so don't lose your charge cord! The aux cable leaving the device is kind of thin also, so don't be rough with it. I plan on using some velcro to keep it near the car radios aux input so I shouldn't have to worry about the cord wearing out from the units weight pulling down on it. Highly recommend for somebody looking for an inexpensive way to stream music over bluetooth to their cars aux input. This will tide me over until I decide to change out my head unit to one that has built-in bluetooth.

Awesome product & Sound / Easy to Use

This generic brand Bluetooth receiver is AWESOME & works perfectly with no issues whatsoever! It stays in my arm rest where it's constantly plugged in via it's car charger AND also has it's red & white audio wires constantly plugged in which are also in the arm rest of my car. The sound quality is perfect and I know it works even if your phone is quite a distance away because I've taken my phone out of my car and walked away and it was still connected 20-30 ft away. The only issue is your have to hit the power button every time you want to use it which is a 4-5 second hold time to power it on. Not really a big deal though. I'd definitely recommend this Bluetooth receive if you want something reliable with great sound quality!

    Inexpensive way to stream bluetooth

I have an older BMW that does not have USB ports or Bluetooth. The Aluratek iStream allows me to stream Google Play music from my Samsung Note 3 to the car (via Aux input) while the phone is mounted on my windshield using GPS. The device easily pairs to the phone. The Aluratek iStream is super small, about the size of a cracker. I bought the 12v Cigarette adapter with the USB port so that I can plug in the Aluratek iStream USB charging cable to the center console cig lighter charger plug. The car has an aux port in the center console so the charging cable and iStream is always on and out of sight. The only negative is that I have to pair my phone with it each time, it does not automatically connect. Maybe I can figure out that issue later.

Bought this to stream music from my iphone into a Sirius boombox. having a cable built into the unit is great. the battery last all day long and sound quality is close to hard wired. Range is not 30 feet though, but not a issue for my application. I also used to modify my Bose headphones with a adapter this will plug into my AE2i headphones where you would currently plug the wire harness in. works great!

Bought this to hook up to an older Bose Wave radio that we use in the kitchen to stream music while making dinner and such. It is very small and unobtrusive and seems to work well. We paired it to our Galaxy S6's and walked all around the house...only broke up when we were at the furthest part of the house. Has a rechargable battery so you can use it when external power isnt available, like a boom box outside. It says it will store information about 6 devices as well.

I honestly thought it would be a big box but i was ver surprised to get a box about 2in square. I finally got the 3.5mm adapter to be able to use it in my truck today and works great, sound is just the same as if i hooked up my phone directly to the aux cable in my truck.

Great Product and Great Customer Service

I have a 2007 mini cooper and my stereo does not have Bluetooth, I stream a lot of music through the AUX audio jack in glove box. When my phone dies I charge it via a USB charger in the 12v cig. lighter, If I have my phone plugged into the AUX audio jack and the 12v charging port, it causes a very high pitched feedback loop (aka screeching). I looked into getting a new stereo installed through Best Buy but that was over $300+, while there I the Bluetooth streamers were recommend by the sale person. I got the iStream and it works great. The feedback loop is gone and and it lasts for a few days on a charge ( i don't always drive everyday so its good to know that it will last a few days without needing to be charged). When I get in my car, my phone pairs seamlessly and I have streaming right to my radio. I keep it plugged into the 12v so when i do drive it gets recharged. Recently my charging cord got stuck in the seat track and was damaged. After contacting customer service they were really nice and got me a great deal on a replacement one. I would definitely recommend this application to anyone who has the same kind of issue with their car stereo or any other feedback audio loop issue.

Works great and sounds great. Easy pairing to my Samsung galaxy S3. Nice too that it will shut off if it doesn't receive a signal from my phone after about 20 minutes to keep it from running the battery down. Small so I can leave it plugged in all the time.

I purchased my iStream today and can only say great things about this bluetooth device. I have a 2008 VW GTI and finally got tired of always having to plug my phone (iphone5) in the aux port which is located in the glove box especially since I have a lifeproof case and if you are familiar with these then you know that you have to unscrew a little plug and also use an adapter that comes with it for your headphones or aux plug to fit. Thank goodness for the iStream. It was so seamless to pair to the phone. Now all I have to do is turn the device on and enjoy the music. Best of all NO wires :-)

I brought this device because I hate connecting my iPhone5 to my car audio system with a wire that constantly gets in the way. It works flawlessly. I'm not too crazy about having to go into the settings on my phone to sync it, but that only takes about 20 seconds or so before I'm ready to enjoy my music. You'll love it.

Bought this to add bluetooth to my car for music purpose only. Wanted to have my phone accessible without a cord connected. Another reason was for the reason when im charging my phone and listening to music with the jack, I would be getting a buzzing noise. Which was very annoying and hurting my music experience during my drive. Connecting my phone to the iStream was easy, and so is reconnecting. To make it easy is first to turn on the bluetooth on phone and then turn on the iStream for instant reconnection. The only draw back I have from the iStream is the power connection. It uses it own usb cable style. So if i need a replace cable, its going to be scarce to find a new one.

this product was fair for its price and has a pretty good Bluetooth range. i love the battery capacity for such a small battery. the only problem is how thin the wire is between the receiver and 3.5mm jack. i also love how it comes with a stereo adapter for certain sound systems.

I bought the Bluetooth receiver for my Bose Sound Dock and it works great. You can't beat the price; it is a lot cheaper than buying a new Bose Bluetooth speaker. It was easy to pair and works as advertised.

I was looking for a bluetooth product for my car's AUX port, one that was cheap yet useful. I found this one and decided to try it, and it works great! It has good battery life (if you remember to turn it off after use) which I get a couple days of use before I need to charge it, and only takes about an hour or two to fully charge. The cord is rather thin so I wouldn't recommend having it just hang, so I got it to stay up next to the AUX port. Getting it to sync with my iPhone 5 was a breeze, and this overall is a great product.
