My kids love this movie. That said, when they watch it in the car, or if I can hear it, I can't stand it. The writing is really horrible and the songs aren't very good either. Kids will love this movie, but adults will most likely hate it.

Purchased this for my grandson who loves slapstick humor. He wasn't disappointed, but the film is pretty noisy and nonsensical--guess that suited his taste, too. If you liked the other Chipmunks movies, this won't disappoint.

If your kids like the Chipmunks like my daughter does, then this movie is fine. It's actually not a very good movie -- just mediocre -- but it's perfectly okay for kids and family, and there are a couple funny parts for adults too.

I have always been a Chipmunk fan, but as an adult, i see why my parents "lost" my Chipmunk album. My 3 yr old loves this movie ans like to watch it back to back but the songs get to wearing on you after the 3rd go around.

We got it on special on Black Friday and I'm not sure how often it will be re-watched. But the kids enjoyed it, which is why we made the purchase. Much cheaper to watch at home than to visit the movie theatre.
