Some things do not heat well but it may be because i am not familiar with the settings. The defrost works great without cooking the food.

What would you use a smart microwave for you ask? You can tell your alexa to turn it on. It also has steaming features, and can self steam itself to clean itself. Pretty solid. A little extra but whats not to love.

A bit disappointed in Amana on this one...

This is a nice looking unit however it is larger than the specs indicated. It is very loud especially with the turntable on which it is all the time when in use. It also takes longer to cook than my old (failing) unit by roughly 15% or 10 seconds per minute. Overall I think that the quality is less superior to other brands. I am disappointed in my purchase and would not purchase again. If it were not past the return date, I would return it.
