Grateful to have finally found one of the newer “french door” style refrigerator that fit into the same smaller space & replace my old 30 year old “top freezer” that was going bad & that I didn’t have to move up the above cabinets as some of my friends did with their new refrigerators.

Great product love the size of the fridge and the freezer

Extremely spacious interior. Lots of functional space for essentials as well as storage for family dinners. Ice and water dispenser work well!

It was a great purchase. My favorite part of it is the extra space.

Nice looking fridge, but I only had the Fridge for about 2 months and there is rust on door.

Had issue with the water line installation and refrigerator handles. Bestbuy installation crew refused to connect to the existing water line. And the handle were not aligned and had to return to fix it.

Icemaker did not work. Amana warrantee department could not get service techs to come out for 6 months two complaints still waiting. Its been ten months with a non working Fridge and no assistance and letters back and forth. DO NOT BUY AN AMANA.

always broke or water won't run. change the filter and it works for maybe a day if it does then stops again

Don't buy this refrigerator. I am very unhappy with the purchase of this refrigerator. I put a lot of research and thought into purchasing an Amana, knowing it was made by Whirlpool was one of the deciding factors in purchase. The Best Buy Techs were on time and had it hooked up and ready to go quickly. The refrigerator/ freezer is large and has good storage areas. Everything stays cool as expected. The reason I gave it only 2 stars, is after a few days, I needed to use the ice and water dispenser, big mistake. The “ice and water dispenser levers” seem to have a design flaw, they are very close together and at the edge of the overflow area. When I push on the ice lever, I also get water. Not just a little, but a large amount. The ice and/or water spits all over the tray, and down the refrigerator which makes a large mess on the floor, the tray and the refrigerator. This happens every time I use the ice dispenser. It leaves a huge mess to clean up on the floor and refrigerator. I purchased an extended Geek Squad Warranty on this item for 3 years and was told, only Whirlpool could repair. I called Whirlpool and was told they don't have any recalls on this refrigerator for an issue with the water and ice dispenser. If I wanted a Whirlpool technician to come out and look at it, they would schedule a call. If Whirlpool decided the ice maker and water dispenser did not have a problem, I would be responsible for a service call. This is poor customer service on the part of Whirlpool, they have no replacement policies in place for this type of issue/flaw. I don’t wish to pay a large service charge just to discover it is a design flaw and they won’t do anything about it. I am very unhappy with this purchase and would not buy a refrigerator from Whirlpool again. The lack of customer support on an obvious issue is very un-professional and I was very unsatisfied with the answer they gave me to address the issue with the ice and water dispenser. If anyone has a similar issue, please review this item, so other people don’t have to go through a similar situation.

Our Frigidaire side-by-side finally died and we needed a replacement. It was nestled in a space between two pantry cabinets and a bumped-out cabinet over the top. We needed a replacement refrigerator that fit that space. This was the only unit that would fit the height. This unit has about 4.5 less cubic feet of space than our old one. It also doesn't have a cold-cut drawer and the shelves are not adjustable in height. The shelves feel a bit thinner than our previous unit and the freezer especially feels cramped but that's typical of these side-by-side unit. On the bright side... it works well, the inside light is nice and bright. I opted to save a bit and did the water connection myself. It was very easy and works fine. Icemaker and in-door water dispenser work well. The water filter access is much easier on this unit than our old one. It's accessed from a compartment in the lower, left side of the base. The filter can be changed without opening the refrigerator and the old cartridge snaps out and is easily replaced. This is a good, basic side-by-side refrigerator. There are much better units out there but we were constrained by an existing size limit. We're thinking of moving in a couple of years so we also didn't want to spend too much for an appliance we'd have to leave behind. All in all, I'm pleased with the product.

I bought this to replace an existing one the price was good and the quality great. There was one issue with the handles as one was upside down but the geek squad came out and took care of it. We love that it is easy to slide in and out on wheels so it's easy to get behind to clean, the quality is good we have no complaints. The ice makes and water work excellent and the temperature co trolls are perfect. The shelves are sturdy including the door shelves they hold 2 gallons of milk confidently. I would recommend if needing a quality replacement fridge. Happy with my purchase

We have a small space in which to put a refrigerator, so our choices are limited, but we've found this Amana to well fit our needs. It is deeper than the LG (died young) that it replaces so it holds more. The freezer section is small, but since we have a freezer in a second refrigerator, that isn't an issue. This one is kind of like the Tardis--it seems bigger on the inside. The one thing about this unit is how much noise it makes dispensing ice cubes. If I'm not aware that someone is getting ice cubes, my first thought is that someone dropped an arm full of logs for a fireplace. Luckily, I found a convenient door in the ice maker and can quietly extract cubes without waking the neighbors. The area on the door where ice and water are dispensed is pretty dark, even with the light (that you can't find in the dark). But, it does the job well of keeping things cold on one side and frozen on the other, I just hope it last longer than the LG.

If I had it to do over again I would not buy this refrigerator. It was highly rated by Consumer Reports, which said it was a great buy for the money. I disagree. The primary reason for the purchase was that I wanted a side-by-side with an ice maker. Well, that's what this is, so I suppose that was satisfied. However I noticed right away that even though there are two settings for ice dispensing - crushed and cubed - when it is set on cubed the dispensing mechanism nonetheless breaks or grinds many of the cubes into ice chips, so it is only about 2/3 cubed and the rest is all chips/flakes. That alone would not be enough to motivate me to write a negative review. However, it also does not get sufficiently cold without being set to the highest or second highest setting. The recommended setting is not cold enough to chill beverages to what one might expect for drinking temperature, so I have left it on the highest setting the whole time I have had it. And finally, I bought this "refrigerator" less than 7 months ago, in early November 2022. I live alone and don't cook much, so it does not see a lot of use. However, two days before Memorial Day Weekend, the temperature started dropping... and dropping. By Sunday it was not cold enough to make ice, or to keep milk fresh. Of course they do not answer the customer service number on weekends, so Tuesday after Memorial Day, after listening to the advertising loop on their answering system for 10 minutes, I finally got to a human being who set a service call for 3 days away. She also said the repair vendor will call me the day before to tell me when during that 8 hour workday they will be able to come out, which might be either a window, or an approximate time. Apparently their service contractors' time is more important to Amana than their customers' time, so one must wait until the day before the service call to schedule anything else for the next day, work or otherwise. However, one thing about Amana's entire process is effective enough to be admirable. From their product registration website to their extended hold periods, one is advised with great frequency about the availability of their extended service plans for purchase. Presumably this must be quite the windfall for Amana, as their product is apparently not designed well enough to make it through the one year warranty period, let alone for longer than one year. Now I see why my father, rest his soul, always used to say that "They just don't make them like they used to."

I really didn't want to downsize as much as I did (from 26 cubic side by side to 21.4 cubic ft.) but my available space dictated that I do so. Several features stand out: it is stainless steel so easy to clean (prev. one was white) with black sides; the water dispenser gives COLD water; the ice maker is more efficient and easily goes from cubed to crushed and back to cubed with no problems; water filter is more accessible for changing; it is so efficient in cooling that I have to keep it on one of minimum settings; and best of all there is so much light and see through glass shelves in the refrigerator that I can see everything on first glance. I could use a little more width in the freezer, but I will get accustomed to the size since it gives me more open space in the refrigerator area. So far so good and I really liked the service in store and in home. A really great team at my Best Buy to work with. I've never bought from Best Buy before, but thanks to my sister, I look forward to more purchases in the future.

I was very disappointed initially, this fridge took a loooong time to get really cold. However, after about 24 hours it became cold as I would expect. I guess this is the cost of efficiency.

Its really ok. The door handles are too bowed out No purpose for that. The freezer is a little too small but ok. Iam glad it has a light on the front for water but it doesnt light well at all .The plus side is its size Not too tall or too wide. Does run loud but running properly.

Bought this as it is only one of few that fits our kitchen, though the brand name is unknow. But we are happy so far and working fine. Also, this is one of few refrigerators that comes with both water and ice dispenser of this size.

The freezer is really tiny. We wound up getting a chest freezer to compensate. The fridge drawers don't open very smoothly, and the plastic makes a terrible noise, however the drawer in the freezer is very smooth and makes no noise. I do like the clear plastic look, as it makes it easy to see everything in the fridge. It is also very bright in the fridge portion and easy to clean. The exterior captures on fingerprints like it is a forensic scientist. A bit of cleaner easily removes the fingerprints but it is annoying how quickly it gets covered in prints.
