Tried this according to recommendation of insignia customer service. 2020 model could be reason. Didn’t work for my tv so had to order another on Amazon and download the remote app to my phone until new arrived. Returning this to store.

Posted .Hello AndrewM! I am so sorry to hear about the compatibility issues you faced with this remote and your Insignia TV. This device is only compatible with Fire Stick devices like the Fire TV Cube or Fire Sticks and Echo Show 15 and not Insignia TVs even though they have a Fire Operating System in them. Insignia TVs have their own proprietary remotes or universal remotes that would work for your TV instead. I apologize for the confusion on this and hope you have a fantastic day!

Now you can watch TV with the new update. BUT, buy this with the Echo show 15 and pay $10 for it now, don't pay $25
