I have found this is hard to turn off. There were no instruction manual and since I had never used one before it was a bit hard to muddle through. I do enjoy reading on it as I can make the words larger. The next time I purchase one I will choose a larger one.

Now with the light, this is a great ereader. Can bearly notice the difference in resolution from the paperwhite. A great deal when amazon puts their ereaders on sale.

I have owned a few kindles, this was a gift and after checking it out, it's great. This was the cheaper of the 2, the other a bit more expensive has more space and is water proof. Didn't need either of those, I have owned my kindle for years before and never had water issues.

Great feel and weight but the system is a little slow sometimes. Great for the price

I ran out of book shelves after completing terry goodkinds sword of truth series, looked at getting a Kindle and glad i did. I bring this to work everyday and I work in construction. It doesn't even have a scratch on it and I've dropped it a few times.

This Kindle is no frills - small and easy to read. I'm glad I got it on sale.

Wish there was a manual that explained how to set up. I bought this for my husband, but it seems to be recognizing me as the owner. I have an earlier version of the Kindle. Though this version has more settings, I find it is harder to navigate.

Being new to the Kindle 'world' I was dipping my toes by buying this 6" Kindle that was part of a special. I have found it fairly easy to learn and will allow me to change the text size as needed. Ruth H 5 miles from Disneyland, CA

Easy to use with good access to many types of readable media.

Thus replaces a lost Paperwhite from about 5 years ago, that cost much more, and is every bit as good. This new one even has zBluetooth to play back Audible books if you want to.

First time kindle owner. I love the look, feel and design of the Kindle 6"! The portability makes reading a breeze wherever I go and the battery life is unreal, lasting weeks or even months on a single charge!

I've owned 4 Kindles and they just keep getting better. The back lit screen is very helpful for night reading. My only complaint is that it has minor tactility issues. This isn't a problem when I'm reading but navigating the storefront was a bit frustrating as I had to repeatedly tap on the screen.

Basic kindle that is more than enough to satisfy reading. The new light is a game changer.

Best thing about this Kindle is that is feels like a book! Also reading outdoors is not a problem as it can be with other similar items.

Device this has is reading. Books of lots to read you can! With light in dark you see, always at right setting. Makes you worm of books!

Got this a few weeks ago and love that I can shop for books, buy and download all on it. Also I like the brightness sets... enough settings to help with my sensitivity to light.
