Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the Fire TV Cube's ease of use and responsive voice control as significant advantages. Many appreciate its improved performance, ample storage, and excellent picture quality, particularly the 4K capabilities. However, some customers express concerns about the device's price point relative to other options. A few also mention compatibility issues with certain apps and older television models.

It works mostly as expected, but does have intermittent issues with response and glitches with system functioning properly sometimes.

We love the cube except it freezes or looses connection and we have to unplug the power for 15 seconds and plug it back in and all is good.

The cube doesn’t fulfill commands all the time. It hears them and makes the sound but it won’t complete the request.

The cube did nothing better than the regular hd fire stick. Streaming was much slower even when wired. I would not recommend.

It's good. She doesn't always respond and the volume takes forever to go down on several attempts. But over all it's not bad.

If there is a pause, she quits listening. If you don't say the exact wording, she doesn't listen. She interferes with my Alexa Show.

Not Dolby Atmos or Dolby vision

Dolby Atmos and vision are both listed on the side of the box, testing says otherwise. Tested on both TV's in my house that support Dolby vision. When playing content from Netflix and Amazon prime my tv never went into Dolby vision mode. Disney plus would register it for a few seconds but then caused a weird color grading issue when it dropped back to hdr. Tried tested with Plex as well, still no dolby vision. Atmos was the same story. My receiver and a soundbar both Atmos enabled received a Dolby digital or pcm 5.1 stream. Same thing when playing content from Plex and also no dts passthrough. Spoke with technical support for about 2 hours and found that this product only supports simulated Dolby vision from Netflix and prime video. Also Atmos is only ac3 lossy with simulated height channels. On performance of the device this like all firetv products are unable to play 10bit hvec or h.265. both formats buffer about every 5 to 10 seconds. Nothing justifiee the price jump from the normal 4k stick as both perform the same.

I like that is does commands but it always messes up. We tried troubleshooting and it didn’t work. It stops listening us every now and then and it just gets annoying. We were going go return it but missed the return date by one day, ONE DAY. Best Buy should extend those days, it’s too short of a time frame.
