Really love the 1st Gen Amazon Fire TV but lately ours has been acting up with a lot of the apps. Had a feeling it was getting phased out since they dont really sell it anymore. So upgraded to the Fire TV Cube and not really overly impressed. It works great and loads apps well, but not really much of an upgrade for the price. If you have a 4K TV, then yes, its a good upgrade. But honestly, for me, the voice command stuff is pointless. There is a lag with it as well, so you usually are not sure if Alexa heard you or you still need to say something. If you are like me and have the 1st Gen Fire TV, just stick with it till it officially goes out. Otherwise, not worth the upgrade.

Product is good, Amazon has done a great job and sometime better than apple tv ( in some features such mute button) but Alexa doesnt listen to you all the time. My device was giving me trouble and I have restart it everytime. Returned it.

Despite this product does the same things than an Apple TV. It works a little bit slower than the Apple product. But the cost benefit worth the money. Wait for promotions that put the price at 79.99

My only draw back is the download speed I wired my Ethernet direct to bypass the wireless I'm hoping this will help. Lots of options for apps if you want to cut your cord. One drawback if you have more than one tv you need a unit for each tv.

The cube has faster processing. I just hope Amazon increased it to 3GB memory instead of 2 and also if they can add an off functionality. Anyway, i like this being a fire tv and an alexa in one.

Bought 5 of these and they are working fine. However, one intention was to be able to use these with the drop in feature which the cube software will not do. Hoping for an upgrade in software. The dish anywhere app is great for adding TV's.

Alexa is creepy, just my opinion. Purchased for use as a fire TV device not for Alexa and connectivity features. As a fire TV device it is faster and has twice the storage of the Fire TV 4k.

This is the second one of these i purchased for my parents. The first one works great but resets itself or turns off quite often without reason. Recent updates seem to have fixed the problem. Overall though amazing features for the price.

Its smart. I may have too may smart devices hooked up to it. But will keep trying to may it work better. Do NOT have an echo in its area. Other Echo may answer you and not let firetv do its thing

The cube is way better than the fire stick itself because of the way it downloads the video so there’s much less buffering when watching movies of your choice.

Liked the idea it had an Ethernet port to have a wired connection. A little annoying when it freezes the picture if you ask Alexa a question though. Decent purchase but room to improve in my opinion.

I like the ratings this item received from CR and so far has performed very well. Some voice prompts seem to be misunderstood but I’m sure it’s just a learning curve on my part.

So far so good. I like that I can tell Alexa to just turn on the TV and receiver. Still trying to get here to change channel but I'm getting there. It's the new lazy way to do things. Especially when I can't find the remote.

The Fire Cube works really great! I like how you can pair it with your sound bar! The only issue I am having is a lot of buffering and the Cube shuts off on its on and freezes a lot. Hopefully this will get better soon!

A friend told me about this so I bought a couple for my home. I love it. I have bought 1 for all my children. Will buy more for Christmas gifts. This thing is awesome.

It’s been over a year since I bought this, got it on sale . Beginning to lag now, not as responsive when I 1st got it. Love the new Alexa remote thought, big thumbs up for the volume buttons!

The fire stick 4K is actually faster than this cube. I’d rather have the cube but the built in speaker is nice to have at times.

I got this to replace my FireTV box and it is like having Alexa and a FireTV all in one. It works great with my Smart TV and powers is on and off by voice command.
