The device is decently smooth but can be improved there. The apps don't close when we turn off TV that becomes a issue especially with apps which consume lot of memory. This a poor management of memory space for apps.

I don't understand why they're having issues with getting YouTube TV. All the other features like voice command and the menu console was nice. It not having YouTube TV was the deal breaker for me.

I am used to how seamless my Echo works but fire TV cube feels like a work in progress For example when I ask for it to play light jazz music SOMETIMES it works and turns on sound system but 40%!of time it doesn’t

Have had Alexa for some time. This block is fickle. Give it a command today and it works. Same command tomorrow and “I don’t know that.” I would swear this thing is connected to my wife’s brain!

Alexa needs work, the voice and word recognition needs updating . Google technology is far ahead of this device . Does require a lot of updating or you will have some lags.

Very efficient when searching queries that have all English words or western names. There is room for improvement when searching for words or names of foreign (particularly Eastern) origin/culture.

Good streaming device in general but lacks the latest HDR support and features like those in the $49 Fire TV 4K. Even though it sells for twice as much, the Cube is not as good as the 4K stick.

I returned it having used it for two weeks coz whenever I ask alexa to play something it turns the tv on instead of playing it on itselfs. it is better to buy echo dot and 4k fire stick separately

Best Buy is making great competitive strides however this turned out being a duplicated gift. I'm sure, based on Best Buy's policies, I will have no problem returning it for a full refund.

Not sure if the one I got was simply defective or it is a chronic issue but regardless of placement, Alexa frequently failed to respond to commands. Alexa for my firecube had a melt down and just spelled out her name at one point and did not respond to commands or prompts from the included remote. Remote unsynced within hours of first use, even with brand new batteries. Returned due to the various issues mentioned above.

Decent gadget that can be used to control your entertainment system. My only issue was instructions conveyed through voice command was not picked by the gadget often.

I appreciate the Alexa capabilities, but find myself very rarely using this function to watch my content. The processor is very underwhelming, very slow, and choppy. Even my older FireTV performs better than this. I would not recommend this, and hopefully when amazon updates this, they make the processor faster.

I bought Amazon TV cube to stream all my favorite sites but it does not support spectrum TV app so I had to return it.

Not really worth it. It’s easier to use the remote control. If for some reason you lost the use of your hands this would help you get by.

This was given to me as a Father's Day gift and it works fine. I think the roku is easier to use and I prefer using the remote over the voice control

Does the basics. Will not obey voice command to play ESPN on Hulu. Quickly integrated other information I had previously set up in Amazon ecosystem.

When watching videos from some apps, I experience video and audio skipping that makes the program unwatchable. When I replaced the Fire TV with a Roku, and watched the same programs, the problems were gone. Why, I don’t know. Also, after buying this Fire TV, I learned that the remote control is proprietary, such that you cannot replace it with a universal remote. With the Roku, I can use a UR. I’m afraid I will need to return the Fire TV.

Couldnt get it to work like I thought it should. Couldn't get it to play music through the speaker. Better to have a firestick and echo.

Kept being told how great the cube was, bought it and hooked it up. Installation was easy, you do get a few free channels. Not too impressed..

I don’t see a difference in quality on this vs the USB stick. Maybe I don’t use it enough. Either way, it’s cool that it turns on my tv ha!
