I bought the fire cube to replace my fire stick hoping it would work better and it does. It does a great job of switching everything on and off with just voice control and is quite a bit faster.

I am very pleased with this device. All of the Alexa commands you can dream of. The only knock I have is that I can't control my cable box. The company I'm with isn't compatible, but perhaps they'll make the list soon!

Purchased this when cable dropped BTN. It was on sale!! Easy to hook up and had Penn State on before no time...wish I would have known about this technology before locking into a two year contract with cable!!

Adding the ability to make and receive calls through my Echo Plus, I thought was the gold standard. I never expected that I would be able to control my Samsung Smart TV, fast forwarding, scrolling, changing channels and apps, controlling volume and muting, and still able to turn my appliances on and off. I am just overwhelmed...in a good way! There remains zero competition for this product, not even from Google, which I had expected to add this functionality to its products. Not! So Whoo who for Amazon. I have one in my main TV in my living room, and another in in Smart TV in my bedroom. I have my Echo plus on my computer desk to make and receive calls. I am a happy camper. Get yourself at least one and you will be too.

The setup of my TV, stereo, and Blu-Ray player was nearly automatic. Used to take at least 2 remotes and multiple clicks to switch between devices and now it is a breeze because Alexa does it flawlessly.

I love the fire box TV it's so easy to setup and so much fun to play around with it. Love being able to tell my tv to do things and watch them do it with just your voice awesome product.

I’m so pleased with the Fire TV Cube. It was very easy to install, It works great. With Alexa I have total control with my voice. I highly recommend buying this.

Great product. Yes, it can’t do everything but it does enough. It’s nice coming into the room and telling Alexa to turn on the tv and tune to a channel of your choosing. Yes, it does frustrate sometimes with the voice commands and some things are limited but for the first major attempt at hands free I’m very satisfied. I still use the remote that comes with the fire stick for browsing tv channels. Don’t expect a perfect product and you’ll be happy. It’s also great you get a hands free Alexa.

This works as described. Turns on all of my equipment. Switches to satellite and back, changes volume. And performs regular Alexa functions.

I purchased the fire tv cube based on my experience with echos throughout my house. I love the idea of being hands free controlling my tv. However the con to this product is that it is not in line with the capabilities of the echo products. For example, you can not play music everywhere throughout the home with other echos or drop in from the cube. I hope future updates allow features that are in line with the rest of amazons products because it is a great idea.

Bought on sale on impulse. Came home and read reviews and found some pretty unhappy opinions. Figured I’d try it anyway and so far it’s been great. Controls volume and power on my sound bar and TV and even lets you navigate some of the menus. Recognized my Sonos systems and allowed me to start and stop music in different rooms. Also recognized Ecobee thermostat and Hue lights. Doesn’t seem to have the full Alexa functionality like the Dot in the other room but it’s close. I’ll keep it, especially on sale.

Would defined recommend. High quality and very easy to use. Nice for automation and updates. Remote is very good and covers well.

I prefer the cub over the dtandrad fire tv. Its pretty quick and add alexa to control smart devices. Real like this product.

I've had the Fire TV Cube up and running at my house for a couple weeks. I have an Alexa household and it's a great addition. I've been able to successfully watch an evening's worth of TV without a remote with little to no issue. Learning the language syntax and timing is critical to using it correctly. I also got one for my parents and it works great with their cable box. If a user doesn't have a loud enough voice (my grandma), I'd advise using the remote to enter voice commands.

We already have an Alexa and noticed that it became pretty useless once we hooked the cube up. The cube is cool except that u can be watching tv and every time u ask it something, it also populates on the screen, interrupting what you’re watching. We were able to rectify that by calling the cube echo and keeping our amazon Alexa hooked up as Alexa. But the ability to control the tv completely with it is definitely pretty awesome

Works great. Love that i can turn my TV on and off with my voice. Works volume too. Just tell Alexa what you want.
