Bought this for my wife to make using the TV more accessible and enjoyable. The features and functionality is well thought it just doesn’t perform as well as it should. Set up is not difficult but the commands do not always work. We tell Alexa to do something, she says okay, but then she does perform the task. Such as changing TV input or turning off the TV. Hopefully future updates will correct the bugs.

Alexa doesn’t understand much but this unit and it’s 4K output is wonderful. The unit suffers from being under powered but is better than some of my other streaming devices (I have three other platforms). The thing that is great about this is that it is very useful for turning on and off devices. As I loose my remotes frequently. I am happy with this device but would be happier if Alexa was smarter.

I am loving the FireCube. It is almost worth the money to just walk downstairs while Im picking up toys and say "Turn on the TV, Play 'The Office' on Netflix" all without looking for where the kids have put the remote. I am, however, already in the Amazon system. I have several Echo devices throughout the house and so I am familiar with what it can and cannot do. I love the video aspect so I can ask for new briefing and it will show me the video clip from whatever news source (instead of just listening to it) and my wife and I love playing the Jeopardy app and seeing the clues! Since it works with the Amazon ecosystem, I can just add my tv to routines, so I say "movie night" and my lights adjust and tv turns on! The cons: it is slow if you are used to Apple TV. When I want to watch youtube, it always asks me if I want to watch it via the Firefox browser or a different browser, really annoying. I watch Youtube a lot and so I usually flip over to apple tv when doing so. It seems to be early yet and, like their other devices, I can see them putting some really cool updates into the firecube (Like multi room audio, more dedicated apps with video, etc). Verdict is I really like it (and having an apple tv for many years, I find I use the apple tv a bit less since it is so easy to have Alexa control the videos). I don't think the starting price is bad either (The $200+ for the Echo show is crazy.) If you see this for under $100, Buy it!

I purchased this item for my brother since he has trouble with remote controls. This device using voice commands to activate your tv, change channels and adjust the volume. It also provides news along with weather updates and time of day. I can ask this device to play music just provide the artist or name of song. Good to have especially since it provides information and entertainment.

The fact of just being able to control your tv, cable, and sound all by asking Alexa is well worth having this little cube. It maybe small but it is packed with all your entertainment needs. The only downfall at the moment and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is no Bluetooth for your phone, but I am sure that will be coming soon. This is a must have for the avid entertainment junkie !!

Outputs in 4K, Alexa enabled, easy to setup and use and voice control of tv and movies is great.

Purchased this as it was the best Fire TV option for 4K. I did not want the stick or the plug in dongle. No use for Alexa but this had the best build features. It works as described and so far I am satisfied. At the time best Buy had a better price than Amazon and I could purchase it immediately. Only complaint is with all Fire TV devices the remote has no IR capability.

Purchased this device to attach to television, and have now discovered the fun of Alexa. There are extra applications that can be added to Alexa from your Amazon account to do all sorts of interesting things like play games, play sounds for sleeping, and connect to all your online accounts like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. Easy set up and nice to be able to control your TV without getting out of the chair.

The cube is faster than my old fire stick that I had before. In searching for a movie or TV series, I recommend using both the voice command and using the search screen using the fire stick that comes with the cube. At times you will get different results although you are looking for the same title in both methods. Overall I like the higher speed with the cube.

If you liked Alexa before, you’ll love her now! Simple to install and very easy to use!

I was hesitant at first, but since I manage everything in my home with Alexa I thought why not...First off, make the "wake" word unique to this device because anytime you say "Alexa" it always picks up the TV. Overall neat product, I operate everything from the TV, to the audio to the cable box. The kids seem to enjoy it too.

Such a great product for streaming TV shows and movies. You can set Alexa to practically do everything for you, from changing channels to lowering or bringing the volume up. Theres little things like when you watch a movie it tells you the exact time you'll finish even when you pause it. It's a great product that I highly recommend.

I had the stick but traded it for the cube as it does so much more. I love the convenience. When I'm in the kitchen and I need something I just tell Alexa to put it on my shopping list. Or tell her to play the television, or to play music. I have it hooked up to my audio system and its great. Set up was easy and works great.

its takes a little while to set it up and you are required to have an amazon account to use it. but its very useful. i put it in my dads room because he has are hard time with technology but even he is able to use it. over all i love it and would recommend it to anyone who uses hulu amazon netflix or does not have cable

I keep discovering more things this cube can do! It’s controlling more and more devices via voice in my house and even does cool tricks like playing games like Jeopardy! Great product! Way better than my Apple TV that I’ve relegated to the guest bedroom
