    Finally one can plug in a NTFS formated large ssd drive and stream movies from it without internet connectivity. A little mmore expensive, no IR blaster included!

    Added this 2nd Generation Cube to our household. It has much faster response times over our 1st generation cube. Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video load in 1-3 seconds instead of 5-8 seconds. This may not seem like a lot, but it makes a difference to us, prompting us to buy even another 2nd generation cube.

    Initially buying with the best intentions, however turns out this Cube - which was recently bought (in May 2025), tha looked new in the box was actually from 2022... Lots of glitches with performance, updates, connection drops, etc. Had to return -- turns out per Best Buy, they knew this model was from 2022 but wasnt sure why it was still on the shelves. Recommendation - always check the year the product was made and make sure it has the most recent wifi, networking and memory needs for current year requirements. (2025)

    Fire cube is somewhat unreaponsive at times and will also freeze constantly ... im getting close to returning it as my new tv already has the same stuff ... it is nice because it has alexa and most of my stuff runs off the firecube command but i can use my echo 8 for that as well

    I bought this because of its Ethernet hard wire capability from the router, but resolution wise, it is not as good as my older second-generation Fire TV I upgraded from. But other features are all what I need. The controller is simple and easy to operate. And browsing is straight forward.
