Posted .Hello Gojojo. I am so sorry you are having issues with your Fire TV Cube. What you are describing sounds like it is an issue with the Dolby Vision feature on your television set and input rather than the Fire TV Cube itself. I would recommend trying to plug it into a different input to see if that fixes it or try a different HDMI cable. You may also want to ensure that the cable is plugged in firmly to your HDMI ports. If this does not help solve your problem, you can try contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to troubleshoot further. I hope this helps improve your experience and that you have a great day!

Get something else.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things are nightmares. Any hardware Amazon has put out recently has been full of issues for me. First, the remote wasn't paired with the unit. I had to directly connect it to my router to get my phone app remote to work. Still haven't been able to pair the remote. Also, every time I ask it to open a program, it changes in the input on my TV to another input. This thing is a headache to use.

Buyer Beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this hoping it would perform better than my outdated firestick. Its actually worse. ALL streaming apps continuously freeze. The only one that works good is the Prime video app, which seems very suspect to me. Just buy a roku. much better

Posted .Hello ArnoldB,
I'm sorry for your experience with the Fire TV Cube, thank you for your feedback. Here are some things you can do to fix issues with Wi-Fi connections with your device: Select Settings > Network from the Fire TV menu, then Play/Pause on your remote, and follow the recommended steps.
Use the included features to help with troubleshooting:
-Wi-Fi switch: Use the switch to turn off/on the internet connection to your Fire TV device.
-Reboot Fire TV: Use this option to restart your Fire TV device from the Wi-Fi troubleshooting page on the device.
If the connection issue persists try the following:
-Use the connectors and cables that came with your Fire TV device.
-Confirm that you are using a Wi-Fi password and not an Amazon account password.
-Store your Fire TV out of enclosed areas such as closets that block your Wi-Fi signal.
-Restart your Fire TV device and any home network devices like modems or routers.
I hope that has helped! Have a great day!

Amazon CUBE has inherent dysfunctions!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two CUBES; one for our new 83" LG OLED and another to replace the Firestick on our Sony 65" TV. Both CUBES would shut off continuously and after 2 attempts by Geek Squad, it was decided to revert to the Firesticks, which resolved the issues.

Posted .Hello Meka! Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear about your Fire TV Cube not working.
Try these steps: Reset Your Fire TV Cube. If your Fire TV Cube is unresponsive, press and hold the Volume Down and Mute buttons until the light flashes blue (about 40 seconds). Tip: Restart your device first to see if it resolves the problem. Just unplug the power adapter and then plug it back in. Your account information and downloaded content are deleted during a factory reset. To reset your device using Settings, follow these steps: Go to Settings on your Fire TV Cube. Select My Fire TV. Select Reset to Factory Defaults. I hope these tips help get your Fire TV Cube working again but if not, Please contact Amazon customer service at 1-888-280-4331 for further troubleshooting. Have a great day and thanks again for reaching out!

Posted .Hello Jwill. I am so sorry you are having trouble using your Fire TV Cube. This device has a better Wi-Fi connection and a faster processor than any other Fire TV device so this is not the typical experience one should expect from this. I would suggest navigating to Settings>Device>Software to see if there is an update that needs to be installed. I will say that the Wi-Fi 6E connection will probably give you a better experience than hardwiring it due to the ethernet port only being capable of 100Mbps while Wi-Fi depending on your Internet Service Provider may get you much faster speeds. I hope this helps enhance or improve your experience some and we thank you for taking the time to provide your valued feedback. I hope you have a nice day!

Don't be swayed by the 1%
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike some consumers, I USE all of my "gadgets" and this is by far the best one Amazon has put out. It SURELY is a little pricey, but IF you are looking for the all-in-one, this is it. I use it on the 77" LG OLED C2, through a Denon 4k UHD passthrough capable receiver. Once I got everything set up, this has been nothing but ROCK SOLID since its release, (yes I preordered it and put swapped out my gen 2 for this) before that, I was using the 4k MAX, and that thing is a beast. This is another level. Its easily the fastest one I have used. (of all streaming media players) and if they were maybe $99, I would have them in every corner of my house. Good Job Amazon!

For enthusiasts, this is trash.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the average consumer, its totally fine. Its basically just an overpriced 2 in 1 device which works great when the operator is a septua/octagenarian, because it has an HDMI in as well, which allows for voice control of cable television. I think this is really the primary use. For enthusiasts, its just a REALLY expensive Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The reason i got this is that it was advertised to be capable of reading ntfs drives. This is false. FAT32 remains the only file system it can read. Overall, massive disappointment and it made me swear off streaming devices for my secondary entertainment purposes (Apple TV 4K is still my primary though, and the undefeated goat of streaming devices).
