    We had one 20+ year old non-Smart TV that kept saying "product not formatted" while installing Firestick. I finally gave up and switched to a 15 year old non-Smart TV and, on that one, Firestick worked perfectly. They told us we wouldn't need a Firestick with the Smart TV's, but we did, even on a brand new one. We now have 3 Firesticks. My daughter likes hers so much she gave up Cable and just uses the Firestick. We may end up doing the same.
