Our devices are not designed to only last a certain amount of time. We hope every customer gets more than their money's worth from every device they purchase. We do have numerous updates that we push to devices to ensure they have the latest features and interface and sometimes older devices may not have the compatibility or processing power for some of the latest updates as happens with all tech that receives over the air updates. I like the firestick because it has free local channels and other stuff. I own five. I might get a Roku but it’s just firestick is easier since I have prime is so easy to login
