    I gave one star because I bought this particular one because it controls the volume and power as well.. worked first day then stopped.. well everything works except the volume and power Other than that it’s good

      Hello StacyW! I am so sorry you are having trouble with your volume and power controls not working properly. One thing you can do is ensure that the remote is configured properly with the device you are trying to control with it. You can do this by going to Settings>Equipment Control>Manage Devices and Equipment and then select the device/TV you are wanting it to control. If you do not see your TV listed then you can select Add Device from there and it will walk you through the steps. If you continue to have any additional issues with the functionality, I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support to troubleshoot further.     I returned the fire stick because I had a Roku and realized I didn’t need it. The Vizio compatible remote didn’t work? Went and got a second one which also did not work, gave up and body universal Best Buy remote, which works perfectly

    Slow and Laggy Product

    Firesticks are always slow and laggy. Just buy an Apple TV or something similar. Roku is even 3x as responsive as a Firestick. Apple TV has been best so far.

    Amazon Fire TV Stick is a Battery Killer!

    Do not buy this unless you also buy rechargeable batteries. This thing kills batteries very quickly. It is a known issue that is supposedly solved with a firmware update, but it the problem remains. I have already spent more on batteries than I paid for this unit. DO NOT BUY THIS.

    Firestick with a sony tv seems to have lots issues. On all vizio tvs no problems

    I have an older 720p TV I use this on that I watch standard definition TV on. I didn't need the 4K version but I wish I would've bought that one instead. This version constantly freezes or delivers a scrambled picture. I have to unplug and plug it back in at least once a day. Such a hassle..

    Product document says that fire stick will control the samsung tv volume, it does not. That is a problem for me, because the samsung tv infrared receiver for remote control has failed. I was depending on the fire stick, very disappointed !!

    Had to return one, the one i had before, Youtube didn’t want towork, then Netflix stop working. Hopefully the new one got dorsnt do the same.

      Hi MercedezS, I am very sorry that your Fire TV Stick is not turning on. I would like to provide some potential troubleshooting to solve this.
      1. Replace the batteries in your remote.
      2. Use the power cable and adapter included with your Fire TV device. If you lose your Fire TV device power cable or adapter replace them with Amazon branded equipment to ensure compatibility.
      3. Unplug the power cord from your device or wall outlet for several seconds then plug it back in.
      4. Press the source or input button on your remote and ensure your TV input matches the name or number of the HDMI port your Fire TV is plugged into (often located on the back of your TV).
      5. Use an HDMI cable rated for high speed (you can purchase this separately).
      6. Unplug your Fire TV from your HDMI hub (if you're using one) and plug it directly into your TV's HDMI port.
