Paid the neighbors kid $50 and I’m good to go. Wouldn’t recommend Best Buy or the Geek Squad anymore.

Posted .Hello StacyW! I am so sorry you are having trouble with your volume and power controls not working properly. One thing you can do is ensure that the remote is configured properly with the device you are trying to control with it. You can do this by going to Settings>Equipment Control>Manage Devices and Equipment and then select the device/TV you are wanting it to control. If you do not see your TV listed then you can select Add Device from there and it will walk you through the steps. If you continue to have any additional issues with the functionality, I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support to troubleshoot further. I hope this helps rectify your issue and improve your experience and that you have a terrific day!
Amazon Fire TV Stick is a Battery Killer!

This thing kills batteries very quickly. It is a known issue that is supposedly solved with a firmware update, but it the problem remains. I have already spent more on batteries than I paid for this unit. DO NOT BUY THIS.
