Do yourself a favor and get this 4k version even if you don't have a 4k TV. You won't have to upgrade to a 4k stick when you upgrade to a 4K TV because you'll already have it, more ram, and practically same price as regular firestick.

Great buy if you're in the Alexa ecosystem

These are great devices to get if you enjoy steaming content and shows on your tv. I don't have cable so I use my FireTV all the time. If you don't have Alexa devices you can look at getting Roku or Apple TV. Roku will most likely be cheaper and get you everything you need.

firestick on steriods

The addition of the new buttons really makes this much easier to use. It also powers the TV on and off, along with the volume button. THey should have done this before. Best part is that I picked up on slae.

I sync it to my Amazon account and it works perfectly. It is really easy to use and I can take anywhere I want. All I have to do is plug it in and out of the outlet and the HDMI port on the TV I want to use. I take it with me on my trips and family vacations.

If you are considering cutting the cord, the Amazon Fire TV Stick is the way to go. There are hundreds of streaming apps, games, music and live tv at your fingertips, including the option to add third party services. I have been using Fire TV Sticks for over a year now and will definitely continue to do so for years to come.
