When it does work, it works great. But not good for long distance from your router.

So in that sense my critique is not fair to its proper use. Jail breaking it was way too much to handle for what you get in return. It would be a lot less stress to just pay for movies regularly.

Works Poorly with Dolby Atmos

Not Good!

Horrible Experience (read review)

I purchased this FireTV stick as a gift to my Aunt and Uncle and helped them set it up; I am a techie myself and this device was extraordinarily disappointing. The device was in Spanish and although my Aunt and I are fluent, we would not change the device's settings whatsoever (when changing via main settings, only the settings then displayed in English but the menu and everything else remained in Spanish). For some reason, when we wanted to access ANY setting or app (e.g., Netflix), the device prompted us to input the pass code that we had set up prior and did not ask us if we wanted this security feature at all. The device's remote feels cheap and not up to par with competitors' remotes. I had extremely high hopes for this device based on the device's illustrious reviews and it disappointed me in almost every aspect. I would highly recommend going with the Apple TV 4K (for those with mostly Apple devices) or the Google Chromecast with Google TV (for Android users).
