Overall it is a good item for your tv.

Easiest way to cut the cord

Plugs in to the HDMI port on your TV and instantly you have access to countless free content as well as subscription services for an additional charge. I would suggest getting the silicone sleeve that is an accessory for the remote as the remote is small and smooth textured. Even if you are staying with your "cable" company the firestick 4k pays for itself after a few months of not having to pay for set top box rental, and you own this even if/when you leave them and still get all that free content.

Amazing Upgrade!!

It has so many improvements over its predecessors including an enormous speed and response speed. I love using it, plus the sound is absolutely amazing blown through twin Echo Studio speakers. It can now also control your other TV centric devices. I love this!!

Although, the roku has a much simple and straightforward interface. There are a lot more unwanted ads on the Firestick, but for more advanced users, this is very minor in comparison to the plus’s.

It allows you to have all your TV apps in one place already logged on. You can take fron one place to the next. The picture quality as an added bonus of the 4K brings the shows to life. Wonderful for those who have older tv's for the download capability.

Switching to Fire Stick from cable tv

A friend recommended the Fire Stick to me months ago, but I was a little skeptical being an avid cable user! To date it is one of the best decisions I have made, to turn off the cable and go to the Fire Stick. Most of all it saved me lots of money!
