In 2024, I'm not sure why is anyone paying for cable or satellite service anymore. Be smart with how you spend YOUR money. I'm not saying buying a stick is the best route for anyone to take, but for my cord cutting family, this route was the best decision. When my kids come for a visit and if they don't like their channel options, they can make reservations at any hotel they wish. Watch TV smartly.

I love this fire stick. It’s faster, smarter and very affordable.

This is a good replacement for older firesticks. I like the extra memory which is double that of older firesticks. I also like the addition of the DirecTV button as 1 of the 4 buttons on the bottom of the remote as I use DirecTV as my main streaming app. The only think I don't like is the delayed start-up on these new firesticks. When you start it up I consistently get "No Signal" for around 30 seconds to 1 minute before you can get the menu up. The older firesticks go immediately to the main menu. I'm not sure whey these new versions have the "no signal" delay but I have 2 of these newer firesticks and they both do the same thing. Maybe this is something that will be fixed with a future software upgrade.

This is probably my 10th firestick from over the years. My only complaint is the sound that blasts from the homepage. Should be illegal, it’s going to give me a heart attack. I also recommend buying a pro remote that has 2 programmable buttons to choose your streaming service without going through the menu.
