    since purchased, have tried over and over to get it to work on the toshiba fire tv and the remote will not pair. I have probably tried over 20 times

      Hello TheresaR! I am sorry you are having trouble using the remote from your Fire Stick purchase for your Toshiba TV. The remote is in fact not compatible with the Toshiba TV itself. It is currently only compatible with the Fire Stick you purchased it with or other Fire Stick or Fire Cube devices in the last few generations. If your intent was to use the remote specifically for your TV and not just the Fire Stick itself, you will need to either contact Toshiba directly, purchase a universal remote that is compatible, or purchase an Alexa Voice Remote Pro (depending on the model of your TV). At this time, your Alexa Voice Remote that is included in the Fire Stick 4K Max is not compatible to do anything but control the volume of your Toshiba (after following the instructions during set up of your Fire Stick). I am sorry for the confusion and do hope that you have an awesome day! AmazonDevices
