Wanted it to work, but...

I plugged it into the correct HDMI slot, but it never could "find" it. I moved it to othe HDMI slots and it would load "Fire TV" in the middle of the screen, but nothing else happened. Finally, I just returned it.

Exactly what we needed

One of our TVs is a perfectly working Toshiba Regza that pre-dates the advent of smart TVs. This converted it nicely and brought it into the new era.

This did the trick. I can watch whatever I want on paid "Netflix/Peacock" or free services "Pluto/Tubi".
