Sadly, not true. I thought maybe I had not installed it correctly. It seemed too easy. But it wasn't me. The Firestick had lots of free channels with old content, but not to the network news programs/shows I wanted. (There were some news programs, but none with anchors I recognized.) You have the option to stream Amazon, Peacock, Netflix and more for a monthly fee , (good), but I couldn't find anything I wanted on live network TV, which was why I bought it. I kept the product but don't use it as often as I thought I would.

In order to stream local channels, you will need to download a live TV app. Some of the most popular apps include, but are not limited to, YouTube TV, Hulu Live, and Fubo. On the Fire TV Stick, go to settings, select audio & display, and then choose audio. Select AV sync tuning and adjust the slider until the audio is corrected with the image.
