I had to send this back. It’s wasn’t working, I’m not a big fan of the fire stick

This review is based on a specific purpose/app that I bought this Fire Stick for, so keep that in mind when reading this review. I have a TV with Roku built-in and I already have access to many of the apps this device is used for. I bought this on the recommendation of a tech from Dish TV, who told me I could use this to access their app instead of paying a monthly charge for a "Joey" on my 2nd TV. Nope. While the app appears to be very similar to the guide screen and functions on the "hopper," the actual implementation is horrible, to the point I would rather go do chores around the house rather than watch this, if those were my only 2 choices. There is so much lag between your input and how it responds that you can't tell if it did not get the command or just wan't carrying it out. Then, the multiple commands you input stack up and freeze it further. Finally, it fails and you have to re-boot. Was so bad, I returned the Fire Stick and ordered a "Joey" from Dish, realizing the $7/month extra was worth not dealing with this hot mess. One could argue maybe it was actually the Dish app that was defective, and not the Fire Stick. Fair point, but is there no beta testing? Amazon (or whoever makes this thing) have their reputation on the line and have a vested interest that all of the apps going through this thing should work. In my mind, if it's a defective app and not the Fire Stick, Amazon also shares culpability because they allow Dish to 1) use their device and 2) promote Fire Stick to access that app. Live and die together.

This was a replacement fire stick whereas the installation was fairly easy I still have not be able to watch my previous purchases.

Everything with the buying was ok. But there are some apps that the device doesn't run well, or doesn't run at all. So this is an inconvenient

My remote quit playing so why i gave and rating low

The platform is great. The remote is so cheap and feels like it might crumble like a Pringle.

I am happy with this product and i recommended it for those who don't want to spend for a new tv this will give you all the apps.

Just another fire stick. Hoping we stop getting the spinner with our streaming. Dislike the remote. Sucks. Got all those buttons at the bottom and now the mute is off to the side so find it hard in the dark to hit mute during the commercials. Still has all that Amazon bloat crap installed. Gotta jump thru the hopes to get Unknown sources enabled.

Don't know if its the fire stick or some of the streaming services, but still have some trouble viewing some shows.

This replacement serves its purpose after older ones failed to update

The firestick works good but Amazon and google are blocking a lot of the free stuff.

This was not the remote I needed for my television. My tv already had a fire tv built in. I needed a replacement remote.

Would not connect UNLESS I used the extension adapter...which was not needed mechanically but was the only way.

We are pleased with the newer fire stick ours quit working so we had to buy another one

Great deal got it on sale.. I'm not good with electronics so I was happy about that it wasn't complicated

Its very good if yiu sont have smart tv. With that you can play different app.

Good. Use to play game pass and works great. Would recommend.

Simply instilation not glitches to usb port on tv and power outlet
