I want that screen to stay on, not turn into a black screen when not used. it's not the same as Roku which always stays on the home page on TV.

It sounds like the device is going into sleep mode due to inactivity. Currently, the Fire TV Stick doesn't support a native setting to turn off the sleep mode. Dipsticks send me a survey request days after I had purchased and give NO time for it to be installed, used, tested. it was for a seldom used guest room TV.

I definitely do not like the hour glassing that occurs while watching a football game or movie even though I purchased a monthly subscription for a live TV package.
