In tge words of Alicia Keys…That stick is on fiyaaaaaa!! Ive owned Apple TV and Roku but got curious what the firestick had to offer. Ive got to say that im definitely inpressed. Streaming is just as good as the others and the interface is simple and easy to navigate. The setup and connnectiviity was what really impressed me. It was so easy getting it to handshake with tge TV and soundbar that i was shocked. Definitely worth picking one up if you can catch it on sale. I wound uo buying a few full price and over the next month and a half they constantly went on sale so i had to price match so i recommend waiting and trying to snag one when theyre running a deal.

Had to pick up the newest 4K compatible Fire Stck from Amazon bc my last one went sort of crapped out on me. Was having issues w the memory & kept knocking me out of apps right after i opened them or in middle of something i was watching. Luckily though, right as the issues were becoming too much for me to deal w any longer, Best Buy had the newest gen 4K Fire Sticks on sale for $29.99. So i was able to jump on one at a good price. Been happy that I did fir the last 3 months since doing so. No difference really from the previous gens, but is much faster & haven’t anymore of the same problems that I had been having w my old Fire Stick. Would recommend the upgrade or first time purchase if you’re considering doing so.

A convenient way to get Fire TV service as it is basically plug and play. I was hoping for a more detailed picture as it purports to be 4 K,but it seems to have the “soap opera” effect of barely blurring the scenes as though looking through smoke . Still as I prefer to use Fire tv for my stream content as opposed to other operating systems ,I can’t fault it and it gave me instant access to download all my previously used Apps.

Great price. Use on a bedroom TV and can use cable company app to access everything that is on my cable TV. Can stream multiple free channels. A very cost effective update for a no -smart TV

I'm a reluctant streamer (I like my Tivo better) but I am being forced to move on. The FireTv Stick 4k works well. The few apps I've installed (youTubeTv, netflixs) seem reasonably responsive (not Tivo fast but acceptable).
Bonus: It automatically turns the TV on/off with the remote and no setup. It isn't a smart universal remote so sometimes things get confused if I change the Video source input on the TV.
Minor complaints:
1) No direct audio out so the initial audio was just the TV speakers (poor quality in my case). I had forgotten I had a separate solution for the Tivo to send that audio to RCA jacks for my speaker system. I ordered a "WARRKY 4K 60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor, Convert HDMI to Optical S/PDIF & 3.5mm Aux RCA" and that worked perfectly with the FireTv Stick.
- The FireStick marketing is a little confusing. Why would I care about 8GB vs 16GB of memory (FireTvStick 4K vs 4K max). How many extra apps is that equal too? Any other benefit?
- BestBuy pricing is all over the map. Bought one (firestick 4k) for $25, went back a few days later to buy another and it was $50. It is now $29. So definately look around and maybe be willing to wait for a deal.
I have an older Roku and the fireTv seems more responsive. I also like the FireTv remote better (slimer, firmer/stiffer buttons).

We bought this hoping it would improve our viewing experience on our Sony Smart TV. We kept having issues switching streaming services and just turning the TV on and trying to start watching anything. The TV is only 5 years old and Sony has stopped providing any significant updates to remedy our issues. This Firestick is great. We watch all our streaming services using it and it is quick and reliable due to its processing power. No more using the Sony's Android system for us!

Excellent and easy to use. The only bad side is that some apps aren't available for it just yet. Other than that, though loads really quickly and is easy to find what you need.

I bought this Fire Stick when our Smart TV was running slowly and doing a lot of buffering. The Fire Stick was easy to set up and navigate through, and is much faster and crisper in operation than the original TV platform.
