This is a great little media stick. For 40 dollars it is ideal considering how much apps it has and its capability. The only problem I had with it is that if you try to do to much like look for a movie for 10 minutes it will begin to lag. I assume that is why they made a more expensive Fire TV. Anyways well worth the money. And the remote is a great touch that makes it a bit better then the chromecast.

As a Roku user, I was skeptical that something so small and so inexpensive would compare to the Roku. I have to say that this Fire Stick blows away the Roku. It was much easier to set up, the additional channels were readily available from the Amazon store, and the remote is just plain better. Add the Fire TV app to your phone or tablet for an even better remote and there is no comparison. A great buy.

Although I haven't added Prime or Netflix yet, I feel I have already gotten my moneys worth out of this product. There are many many movies and tv shows that can be viewed at no cost. The Firestick was extremely easy to set up and has worked flawlessly since I purchased it about a month ago.

I would have given this 5 stars however, I was a little disappointed that the Fire Stick does not work with the T-Mobile portable wifi box therefore, my daughter could not use this however, I use it and I love it and the remote app I use on my Kindle makes the features on the Fire Stick a lot easier to use rather than browsing thru movies and/or other features manually with the remote control.

This is my first time using stream video. It was so easy, I loved it. My friend's son was also having lot of fun with the games included in the device. The streaming was good, because it pre-download the movie as the playback continues. So, there is no delay noticeable to you. Good product.

I was impressed with the quality and easability of this product. We will be purchasing two more for our other TVs. The kids love it. We have used the Apple TV for many many years. I still recommend an Apple TV, but for a year I waited for the release for Amazon access; but still they have not worked things out. I was happy when Amazon and Apple released the right to stream from the iPad Amazon app to the apple tv. Talks have continued on the release, but still years later no Amazon app for Apple TV. So for 39.99 I went ahead and bought one. The quality is incredible! Apple has everything but Amazon, and Amazon has everything but Apple, hahaha. Being a prime member the Amazon TV and firestick may become the staple in our home, and Apple TV our secondary entertainment device. Until Apple TV releases a higher quality box with Amazon integratation. Which may be soon... but I've learned not to wait on them. Buy one or buy both, and have it all. Highly recommended for Prime Members!

I love the new Fire Stick!!! I am able to watch programs and access my Netflix from their forum as well......I am so impressed!!! I really had no idea that it could be so easy!!! There is so many different choices to choose from and great Wallpapers to download for free, in case you paused your show and didn't get back to it right away......it is very cool!!! One of the best purchases I have ever made......and now I decided to sign up for the membership which has given me even more perks just for signing on. YUP, you will not be sorry.........so many different genres it is hard to choose!! Again, a happy customer with a great buy!!! Thanks Best Buy

This is our second one we have purchased for another TV in another room. It is so easy to use - having Amazon Prime account is key though. Great shows for kids and adults. The remote is easy to use - so easy my toddler knows how to use it. If you have Amazon Prime - I highly recommend it.

There were so many great reviews about this product! I absolutely love my Amazon fire tv stick! It has an amazing interface and minimizes excessive cords and wires to the tv. I love the number of apps that it provides and it is very user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone!

First thing I did,when I wanted a streaming device was, ask the guys at BEST BUY. They (Anonymus) said they liked Google Play, so I bought it. I took it home and hooked and hooked it up and started using it immediately. My family and I were watching something Christmassy. We were loving it. Then it happened, my wife got a phone call, she had to leave the room to talk, and we couldn't pause the movie, because it was controlled by her phone. BUMMER! The next time we wanted to pause, we couldn't figure out how to do it. Then I took the Google back to the store and got my money back. They didn't have the Firestick in stock, so I went home and ordered it online. The 'STICK' came two days later and we have been HAPPY ever since. The 'STICK' comes with it's own remote. WE LOVE IT!

The Product was very easy to set up, the picture is great & it allows me to stream my cable service without having to pay for an additional box,as I have apps for a lot of my channels that I am able to use on the device.

Had FIOS, DirectTV, and Comcast for years, but when standard service plus 4 receiver with HDTV and TIVO cost $160 a month. It was time to cut the cord. I got the Roku 2, Roku 3 and Amazon Fire (might get the Roku 4 later once I upgrade a TV) since I got 4 TVs. The Roku 2 and Roku 3 is very similar, the only thing I use is the headset opinion on the Roku 3 headset when I am in bed and do not want to wake up my wife. Other wise I really don't see the difference. My family find the difference between the Roku devices and the Fire is the Fire got apps/games my little ones like to play. But otherwise it is similar and I would prefer the Roku because I find their remote is a little more easy to use. If you sign up for Sling and either Netflix or Amazon Prime, there isn't that much difference then cable/Direct TV unless you have to have those music channels, MTV, NFL ticket, etc. I pay $20 a month for sling compare to $160 for Direct TV. You do the math.

I had a Chromecast before but felt I was locked down to my cellphone or tablet for the interface. A neat idea, but did not cut it for me, since I have a lot of local media. I picked up this device and am very happy with it. There are some decent apps, and the remote for the device works well. If I did not have a prime account, I would feel its too locked down to Amazons echosystem.

Amazon has made a great product. If you are looking to cut the cord, this is your device. It has a ton of great apps and games. If you're a prime member then you have a ton of great tv shows and movies. And with the amazon app store backing it there is an unlimited number of great apps

Excellent for DLNA , YOU CAN pay all videos and photos from your computer and other devices, is the best in performance by now, easy to use and I don't have any problem by now, I use mirror with my Samsung Galaxy S 6 and work perfect because the CPU quad core, is the best right now

If you are in the market for something like this, I would choose the Amazon Fire TV Stick over the Chromecast for sure. It's easy to manage with it's own remote and is preloaded with lots of entertainment. I use it on my Non-Smart TV for added channels. I'm happy with my purchase.

I purchased this product when it went on sale at BestBuy store for only $25.00. I also own several Chromecast devices at home. But I like Amazon Fire Tv Stick over Chromecast for several reasons: First, it comes with a remote which make it nevigate the tv a lot easier since we don't have to look down to the mobile device to control it. Second, all the apps are stored on the stick which makes it so easy to find. The menu screen is great. You can stream tv shows and movies on Netflix, Hulu Plus, and the included Prime TV which they give you a 30 free trial upon registration. They have a lot of apps that are very useful: For education, entertainment, games, ect,. With the mobile app you can do what Chromecast is offering. But the Cast Screen function is little tricky and I preffer Chromecast over Amazon Fire Tv Stick. Overall I like it and I use it everyday to watch my tv shows and movies. Subscribe to Netflix and you can have endless entertainment right in your living or bedroom. I give it a 4 star because I think it can be improved to make it more user friendly.

I loved this device since the moment that I got it and played around with it. It is a great tool and a great alternative to regular TV and having to pay for services. It also has apps that are useful as well on their own. Great item and I've already recommended it to others

I love my Apple TV but wanted something a little less money for the bedroom where a lot less streaming is done. I have been very happy with the Fire Stick. I especially like how recent items appear front and center regardless of platform- Amazon Prime Music, Pandora, Netflix, etc.

Bottom line? This is the best streaming device for the dollar(In my humble opinion) Keep in mind... it's $39 & it handles netflix/prime/plex/games and a lot more. Thus far it's been a smooth operating device & doesn't seem that much slower and i was fortunate to get it for $19.
