I Love the firestick I don't have cable and it does everything that I need. All I need is my Wi-Fi connection it's fast it's Stable and it's awesome I would recommend to everybody who wants to save money and not keep paying for TV it's fast it's Steven and it's awesome I would recommend to everybody who wants to save money not have cable

I purchased my Fire TV Stick during that first week of release when BB offered it for $25. For this price, it may be the best streaming device on the market, PERIOD. It has all the streaming apps one could ask for: Amazon Prime (duh), Netflix, NFL, etc. It may not have all the apps/channels that Roku devices have, but those devices have been around 4x as long. Just give the Fire devices some time and hopefully they'll catch up. As far as navigating the device, well, it's much faster than my Roku 2 device. All the menu selections are snappy. Each click from the well-designed remote responds with it's intended action and a nice reassuring 'click'. No complaints in that aspect. As far as complaints go, I only have two. First, the current software doesn't allow connections to hotel Wifi networks. This was big for me because Amazon said that the Fire TV Stick would (eventually) be able to utilize those dreaded networks. I just wish they made that update available at release. My other complaint is that the optional gaming remote is about $20 too expensive. Maybe it'll go on sale soon :)

I am happy with the firestick compared to chromecast especially since it can now do screen mirroring. I prefer it due to the 1080p resolution and the apps abilities that are unconnected to any device. Some of these apps have issues though that have still not been resolved, particularly the DisneyXD one. Tte WatchESPN is good but it does not allow you to choose the video quality of the stream (unlike it you do it on your PC). Overall I prefer and like the device.

Bought this because we were switching from Chromcast. Mitch better wireless range and responsiveness than the Chromcast. Amazon Prime movies doesn't have all the selection of newer kids shows and movies, but it's still pretty good. You've also got the option of downloading some games, one of which being mine craft, to the fire stick. You can buy an Xbox style fire remote for the games. There's also a smart phone app you can pair with your fire stick to use as a remote.
